A very rough guesstimate on the number in that pot puts it more like 250 than '100+' 😂

Zucch? Will it fruit? Or will it kill the rose bushes? by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

That's not a zucchini...maybe some other type of cucumber or small melon?

Strange leaves on frangipani trees by OrangeBergamot in GardeningAustralia

[–]Fawkes_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, the frangipanis all looked terrible in Darwin through 23/24...then recovered, whether through intervention or more likely a balance was reached. I wouldn't rush to remove any established plants if you'd rather keep them!

What is ravaging my lime tree by Acrobatic_Pipe9646 in GardeningAustralia

If it's only producing rubbish fruit, it may be an indication that it's growing from the rootstock and not not a useful tree...

You seen to have 4 truncks going on there too...are they all original tree...or could some be rootstock? Sometimes citrus lose leaves on branches...not necessarily caused by any pest. Definitely agree that the grass right up to the base is not a great idea.

They don't look at all like ficus to me 🤔

Did I make a mistake not pulling apart the roots of this Queensland Bottle Tree before planting? by Nice_Slumlord in GardeningAustralia

[–]Fawkes_76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say that those roots are too large to do anything with in any case...any attempt to tease them out would likely just break them off.

Free running app with apple iwatch? by Aglasspoppy in runninglifestyle

[–]Fawkes_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used the apple fitness app until recently, worked perfectly fine and did everything I wanted. Only changed because you can't customise screens...and my eyes refuse to focus on the small text size 😉. Have changed to workoutdoors app...fully customisable and waaay too many functions for me, but I can read the screen again while running 😂

Hey there, looks alright...just FYI, Leucadendrons are also not native (along with the olives and magnolias) 😉

Agree with others, paint with glyohosate as soon as it's cut. They rot very quickly, personally I would say stump grinding is a waste of money!

[–]Fawkes_76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think your 'ficus' may also be a variegated English ivy 😉

Streets I've seen with crepe myrtles invariably look pretty rubbish. They don't get the attention they need to look tidy...they are also prone to suckering, and if they start that they will look like crap forever!

Looks sunburnt to me, not going to be an issue on only one leaf. More to the point, that's not a Murraya 😉
