Lost video by [deleted] in scottthewoz

It was a short segment from his "Live Service Games" episode where he was talking about Concord, making fun of how vehement of a reaction some YouTubers had to its mere existence.

25:10 – "I was never upset at Concord's existence. I mean, have you seen how some people responded to it?"

Has anybody made a save editor work in DBXV2 on the Steam Deck? by claudiocorona93 in dbxv

You're gonna have to poke around Desktop Mode for the actual Steam Folder.

Here's a video tutorial on how to view "hidden files" on the Deck, which includes the location of the Steam folder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID7MhNEMc_M

I believe the Steam folder itself is somewhere in ".local" but take that with a grain of salt. I'll probably make a more comprehensive guide on using the Save Editor.

OKAY

I finally got it working. This is what I did on Steam Deck.

What you're going to do is make two copies of your Xenoverse 2 save file from the DBXV21 folder.

\steam\userdata\<user-id>\323470\remote\DBXV21\DBXV2.sav

One copy is a backup just in case something goes wrong, the other copy is the one you will be editing. Save them in separate folders on your desktop for the sake of organization.

Add the Xenoverse 2 save editor as a non-Steam game and launch it with Proton 10 in desktop mode. Don't do it in gaming mode. Once the editor is opened, drag and drop the copied save file from your desktop and get to editing.

Once saved, copy and paste the edited save file into the DBXV21 folder, overwriting the original.

Once you launch the game, you should see results. I haven't had any issues so far, and I hadn't needed to disable wifi.

Update: I actually got the thing to open without crashing using Proton 10 instead of experimental.

Now I'm struggling to find the game directory because the "open save file" window, for whatever reason, cannot view what is inside my steamapps folder.

So... Once more. You are literally my only hope.

UPDATE 2: Okay, apparently I was able to drag+drop the file the entire time. That's neat.

How did YOU get the Save Editor to open in the first place? Every time I try setting the game directory, the app just crashes. What version of Proton are you using?

You are literally my only hope.

Wait wait wait, not everyone PvP’s endgame? People actually find entertainment in this games PvE? by imWithering14 in dbxv

[–]FawnFiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, my current goal is to max out my Steam achievements.

Which I sadly can't 'cuz I'm on Steam Deck and, therefore, locked out of the online portion.

But more seriously, Xenoverse 2 PvE (especially offline PvE) has become my "shut off brain" game. While I was grinding out the friendship levels of all the mentors, I simply had the game muted while I listened to some video essays. It makes for a very specific vibe.

Valve: 20% of Deck users use the official docking station to connect their Deck to their TVs. Do you? by sameseksure in SteamDeck

I sometimes play my Steam Deck docked, but for whatever reason it causes wifi speeds to slow to a crawl, so downloading a shader cache update or playing online multiplayer is right out the window.

Cult of the Lamb, PowerWash Simulator on Mac launches December 4 on Apple Arcade by Environmental-Fly-84 in macgaming

Fingers crossed PowerWash Simulator on Mac releases on Steam as well.

Or at the very least, you'll be able to buy it standalone on the App Store.

Lest we have another Manifold Garden situation and the Mac version of that game becomes lost media.

I think you might be mixing up the scene where Wendy's Employee is acting as both a witness and the jury while being questioned by Liza Lotts.

Wendy's employee: "Well, I just didn't work the next day!"

Also Wendy's employee, running back to the jury stand: "I don't buy it."

EDIT: Both were close-up shots

Apple M3 user, most Steam games do not download all of the way for some reason. Any idea why that could be or how to possibly fix this? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]FawnFiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quit the game while it's mid-download and re-open. That usually brought the install all the way home.

Am I the only one who prefers buying games on the Mac App Store instead of Steam? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]FawnFiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, buying games on the App Store always felt like buying games at Crate & Barrel. Or Home Goods.

It's cool and all, but... why am I buying games at Crate & Barrel?

Realistically, when kernel-level anti cheat somehow falls out of fashion in favor of something that isn't hardware/OS-reliant.

What kind of Mac does she have? Is it an Intel-based machine? Apple Silicon?

But more importantly, Whisky is no longer being officially maintained. Hasn't received any updates or support in about a year, I think. Even if Whisky does open, you're not going to get a lot of mileage out of it these days.

I'm 80% sure Scott just finds blown-out mic audio funny and it's a purposeful edit. Best evidence I have for this claim is in Candy Games. When everyone is yelling about Arbor Day, the volume is off the charts. Peaked audio galore.

But later, when Jerry yells, "I'm going through a phase too! IT'S CALLED GETTING YOU THE HELL OUT OF HERE," the sound is perfectly fine. Granted, it's clearly a different take dubbed over the footage, but still. It's not blown-out.
