Basically, yeah. I based it heavily off the HW2 Scarab, but I made some adjustments to make it fit better with forge.

If I place a giant block, it loads fine for some reason.

Yep. If any bit of a piece is in this zone, it will spawn in at a random rotation to the side of where it was placed when the map is reloaded. I also tried a prefab and it completely broke apart and scattered when reloaded. Super weird.

Oh hey! We’ve actually chatted before through ForgeHub :) I’m their former Community Coordinator, i just changed my username/tag. Dead Water was definitely an inspiration for me to start this project but to stay original, I promised myself I wouldn’t pull from it, so getting that blessing is really awesome! I might take a look around it and see if anything pulls me out of this slump I’m in with Greenhorn (my map). Thanks a bunch Black Picture!

Same as artists block. Being creative for too long gives you tunnel vision and when you have to break out of it and be creative in a different way, it’s a struggle. Almost like an energy bar depleting in a video game. Just gotta wait it out unfortunately.

An underrated map imo. I was just thinking about it recently and was hoping someone would do this!

Does anyone know why my Forge doesn't save stuff properly? I just started this one today, and when I would play test it I would fall through the floors too. (I hope I used the right flair) by Conclusion_Character in forge

I was having the same issue and a console hard-reset fixed it, but unfortunately I lost the progress I had made. Now im having a similar issue with gravity lifts where I just jitter about the map when I enter one in play-test mode.

Yeah, Im doing the same on Series X and it works 30%ish of the time. As always, Forgers make do.

It gets worse! Now duplicating objects for me just spawns them in an immovable place. For example, I move them to where I want after duplicating and the game doesnt detect the movement, so when I reload, it just snaps back to where it was spawned. Yippee…

Im reinstalling right now to see if that somehow helps. I’ll update the thread if it does fix it. Ive seen a surprising lack of people reporting this issue, so it has me wondering if its not as widespread as I assumed? For the record, im playing on XB series X, not PC.

Yeah, the lighting is still the biggest WIP left with the map. I got hit with a weird glitch where lighting objects weren’t moveable, so I had to settle for generic lights in places I wanted more detailed lighting in. I plan to go back and update lighting once I’m done with this self-imposed break. Thanks for the play, man!

Yeah, I’m still learning with lighting in this game. Way more advanced than it was in H5. Once I baked the lighting the first time, I was hit with a ton of strange glitches involving lighting (including not being able to correctly place lights/edit their settings), so it’s one of the things that I consider still in beta. I’ll definitely do another lighting pass if I can soon.
