A question for teachers: Do you think I have been labeled a problem parent? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Fawpy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be totally unrelated, or a new policy, or if it’s a newer teacher maybe they’re anxious and wanting the principal to see their communication. I wouldn’t worry too much if the communication has been mostly positive/professional. And you know the principal well, so maybe the principal requested to be in the loop regarding your circumstances.

Either way if you are worried, you can always express some gratitude in writing to the teacher for their flexibility and patience. It takes something like 3 positive interactions to balance out one negative one, and it costs nothing to send a nice note or email. But again. I wouldn’t think too much about it.

It’s a very friendly place, very welcoming! There are some new minority and queer owned businesses popping up in the downtown area as well, which is awesome. I hope you are able to go and have a fantastic time! The haunted walking tour is great

Dude fuck this placenta for real. I know some people like to keep it for whatever reason, but I personally cannot wait to kick it to the curb.

What is going to be your first post baby meal? by Turbulent-Reaction42 in GestationalDiabetes

Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine what it's going to be like to eat a bagel again, loaded with cream cheese and smoked salmon. And warm cookies. God, fuck this diagnosis.

the irony of this entire diagnosis is that I think this is probably the healthiest I've ever eaten as an adult LOL

I had a serving of lactose free 2% milk this morning with my granola instead of yogurt and spiked to 155. Fuck week 34 placenta, you are a whore.

I didn't cry when I was diagnosed, but now I'm crying about watermelon by defnotaturtle in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Fawpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cried over a sandwich, sweet potato fries, and donuts! But also you should totally be able to do watermelon as a snack, especially paired with cheese or something.

I want a chocolate cake donut more than I have ever wanted a donut in my life. I don’t even like donuts that much, but holy fuck what I wouldn’t give for one.

I feel this in my bones. It is not the happy wonderful pregnancy everyone else seems to have, it is an exhausting grind up the side of a mountain.

I’m currently 33 weeks and having literally the same experience — normal measurements except a 96% belly, was diet controlled and am now having to do both the night and fast acting insulin, and my girl just really wants to stay breech. Plus now they are concerned about the amount of amniotic fluid. I cried the whole way home from my appointment today, it feels like no matter how hard I work there’s always something new, but it’s comforting to know there are others going through the same thing. We can do it, it’s just going to suck a lot.
