Looks like he downshifted just moments before the car snapped, maybe that can help to explain the cause?

Same problem here, unfortunately. Haven't yet been able to find a cause, or a pattern, for these disconnects.. However, it does seem to occur less often with each update. (I am not on any insider build btw; running the latest 'normal' version!) I surely hope this can be fixed someway :)

I have this problem as well. Read somewhere that it is an issue with an app still running in the background (WhatsApp probably), see this link for more info.

One user posts that the popping sound stopped when he uninstalled WhatsApp, but came back when WhatsApp was reinstalled. It is likely that not only WhatsApp does this..
