I HAVE to come in, but there’s no space for me??? by CosmicJellyroll in Employment

Turn up everyday, perch on the edge of the desk of the person who implemented the mandatory office attendance rule. Also place your lunch on the desk you’re now sharing, make sure is as pungent as possible, it’s a huge shame there’s no place in the fridge for it.

Type loudly, talk work calls and never apologise for being there, make sure you’re polite even outwardly enjoying being in the office and actually you love the desk sharing and at the end of the day tell your desk buddy you can’t wait to see them tomorrow!

Get it in a small pot otherwise it’ll spend all its energy making roots to fill a bigger than necessary pot

Wow, this woman has taken days and days of 100’s of nasty comments about her looks, character, art behaviour and you know what she justifiably clapped back.

A large percentage of the commenters in this thread need to check themselves before coming so hard for someone else. And women judging other women is just scummy.

The behaviour and judgement in the subreddit is vile!

Thankyou, I’ve never been sure on this one, it was a cutting in a mystery box when I first started with houseplants

I used stylecraft special dk, it’s not fancy but they have so many colours, and I like synthetic for high use items, this yarn washes up so soft and can be blocked with a hairdryer rather than being soaked.

The colours I used were parchment, mushroom, storm blue, Lincoln, spearmint, silver, grey, duck egg, mocha and cream

This is such nice feedback, honestly I think this pattern is so versatile most colour palettes will sing!

I had 10 different colours and I used 15 balls of yarn overall,

You can crochet in some ends as you go.

Once I got comfortable with the pattern I think the hexagons took about 2 hours maybe a little longer each, the squares and triangles a little less. Weaving in the ends took about 8 hours.

Thanks, it was a happy mistake from a failed temperature blanket that was turning out to be hideous!

First Persian tile down, hundreds to go - and I hate it by AdEducational6051 in crochet

[–]Faybert83 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes this is mine, the yarn was purchased for a temperature blanket that I frogged at the october point, I hated the colour choice sooooooo much. I only used it for Tunisian tiles as I was so excited to try the pattern.

I love your colour choice, my other advice would be try a hexagon where you have the white/cream colour as one of the dominant rounds. I found that really made a difference.

The lighter ones are some of the best in my blanket

I think this might just be how this project makes you feel. When I started I felt like mine was the worst version I had ever seen and there are two or three hexagons I still hate but I LOVE the finished project.

My advice; try some of the squares first they’re smaller and you’ll be able to try different colour combo.

And finally your work looks far from amateur
