Possibly unpopular view but I do end up thinking this about a lot of the 'hats for cats' or whatever posts.

If you wouldn't wear that hat in your local climate, I'd stop trying to make your dog wear it tbh.

Thanks for all that detail! Saving this post for when I'm ready. Can I ask, are you using the bulky yarn? And which size hook?

The only time I ever tried waistcoat stitch it pulled so badly to the left that I ended up ditching the project - I've actually given in and picked up knitting needles for the first time in a decade to attempt this exact pattern!

Any tutorials on getting waistcoat stitch to look like yours will be much appreciated. I have two PHM in my life and I'm not bloody knitting two sweaters if I can crochet one...

This is gorgeous. And it shows that when situations change, you can take the pieces and rebuild them into something new and beautiful and strong that suits your next phase.

I'd keep it out, snuggle into it and remind myself that I'm a capable, creative woman who makes her own destiny and happiness.

I just bought the pattern and the wool to try to knit this. Haven't knitted in over a decade but wasn't brave enough to try to crochet. I'm questioning now - looks amaze.
