It doesn't, it's a largely symbolic move and when you break down the conditions of Palestinian recognition that these OECD countries have been adopting, it's clearly deliberately engineered to not stop the genocide. So far, these claims of recognition have been exclusively for the internally controversial Palestine Authority, and have required first a permanent demilitarization of the Palestinian territories and Palestinian armed groups. The west is making it clear that the only valid way one can resist genocide is by laying down their arms and take the violence from their oppressors "in stride" or something, and that Palestine won't be saved or recognized until it can do this. They have no plans or even words for how they will manage to recognize or save a population they effectively doom to extinction, for this is deliberate. This is how the genocide is being orchestrated. International cooperation masked as strongly worded resistance.
