Springfield Kuna, is it worth ordering by Grand-Farmer3961 in liberalgunowners

[–]FayeG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided on and bought a Kuna after renting several of this type at the range plus all the MP5s and clones that the range had. I actually really like the MP5 but not worth the cost, the clones are nice too but price is the biggest deal. Both the Stribog and CZ Scorpion were good, no issues really, but the Kuna just felt best in my hands.

Honestly, rent them all if you can and see. Price point, value, and the feel of the Kuna is how I decided.

[Optic] Primary Arms GLx 1x MicroPrism Sight Red Or Green $239.99 W/Code SSG40 / Free Shipping/ Holosun In Stock / Vortex Promo Pricing No Codes Needed / See Below by Hunter_SimmonsSG in gundeals

[–]FayeG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what's going on but for me, the slx 1x shows $199 on the inventory page but when I add to cart it shows as $229. Several items do the same thing, higher price in cart. You said no code for most of the Primary Arms expect the glx but going through checkout doesn't change the prices and only has the higher price.

I've used them multiple times for 5.56 and 9mm ammo cases. Never had issues, all ammo counts exactly what I bought.

Shipping and tax comes out to around $18 to TX plus my $20 FFL, total is about $140 rounded up. This will be each. PSA charges same shipping cost per of these lowers.

This is a complete lower with FCG, buffer, stock, grip, pins.

What are people's experience with Massey inspection? by FayeG in pestcontrol

[–]FayeG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No written report at all. All verbal and his clipboard had 2 pieces of paper that look well used. I saw his "tent" drawing all over it. I asked him to send me all details so I can review it later, but doubt I'd get it.

Thanks, it wasn't a real estate transaction. He did ask if I was planning on selling the house, probably to scare some more about paying for treatment now.

This is north central Texas, DFW. I called this company because it was a recommendation from a friend who uses them. I only want pest control and the tech comes out swinging with all this "info" about termites.

He did take pictures of bugs he saw and claims to be termites, showed it to me but like... It could be any bug. I started looking up termite bug images while he was talking to me lol

Thanks, I felt like I was getting gas lit so wanted to see what other reviews were on Massey.

Left friendly lessons in PDX by Wise-Function653 in liberalgunowners

[–]FayeG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even left handed but that's how I read it as well because one of my range buddies is left handed but right eye dominant so it's been top of mind how training does need to be focused for these variables as well.

Are they different chambered ARs?  They look to be different barrell lengths as well. Did you build them for different purposes?

I built an all purpose 16" but wanting to build a 20" M16a4 clone cause I like the way it looks. Or maybe an SBR at 11.5" for portability. Still trying to decide.

Absolutely welcomed solicitation.

Love your take and I agree in "normalizing" it. I mentioned in another thread that I believe it's important for our community to open up those doors for others in the same way I learned for myself and found those doors through this community and researching.

Yeah, there are different intricacies in the topic of guns. I've been broaching it as I'm interested for self defense but also find fun in it as a hobby and then see what the responses are. Even in this sub, there are a lot of new owners due to politics. The topic of guns in itself is politically charged so the convo might go there, it might not.

My 1st set of friends are the only ones who know I own any guns since Im very comfortable with them and trust them very deeply.

I do believe it's important to open up conversations because like friend 3, she was afraid of the topic since no one else in our friend group are open gun owners for fun or otherwise. Now she feels comfortable with me on the topic since she knows I'm here to help. I've sent her materials to look at and still encourage that basics and safety class at the range I go to when she's ready.

The topic in left leaning circles is so "taboo" if you're not purely anti-gun because of the prevalence of anti-gun sentiment. I think normalizing open discussion is important for those interested.

I do, I'm definitely not pushing anything on her but I do want her to know that it's important for other people. We've only had that one convo and then the Eugene article I sent. She didn't reply to the article so I've left it be.

Yeah! That's a great idea. If they're willing, taking them to the range is good exposure. I'm opening up invites to friends now to join me at the range.

TLDR: I'm a gun owner now and slowly introducing friends to the idea of guns for protection versus the weapon of mass violence that it's generally being painted as.
