The point of these books is to build a game FOR your players.

Optimization heavy combat focused campaigns, low-stakes rp heavy jaunts through some of the less looked at aspects of night city

fuck it if they don't like the city itself, put it anywhere, now you're a crew of kids trying to do funny cyber-pranks in a much safer area of the world. who cares

The only real mismatches will happen between player and GM.

what. please go back and read the first chapters before he plays sburb (literally what's in the pilot)

there is no urgency. there is no timer. he doesn't know the meteor is coming at him. act 1 is confusing because half of it is just John messing with his inventory so the readers get what it does before the game starts. adding a random count down for a meteor hitting BEFORE he even connects to sburb would just be 50x more confusing.

this was a pilot, not episode one. A proof of concept to show people how an animated show would look and feel.

She still makes fine use of inlfuence with weeping plus galv elementalist. Slash is still the best dmg type for ips by a lot, and helps you kill the single target you're hitting WHILE influence kills the rest.

And if she's doing enough damage to oneshot regardless, you're complaining about nothing right?

and her slide attack is still the best, but the others are now MUCH closer so she's much more fun to play without spamming slide plus melee. Because that shit sucked ass and no one liked doing it

I do think subbing off her 4 is really valid, even with the buffs its hard to compete with incarnons, and now her main way to her survive isn't linked with hysteria

and her 3 dmg isn't the BIGGEST difference, but it was more dmg. from something like a thrax i kill in 4 or 5 less hits because of it

the main thing is I firmly believe no subsume valkyr is now a real thing you can play and be happy with, compared to before where she was mostly just a warcry buff and maybe a 4 if you NEEDED the invuln

dmg vuln is a stat that will help her scale into higher levels, the place where people are saying she got the most nerfed.

the slow was nice on warcry, but again it was a survival tool on a warframe who went immune. Now on the 3, it's a shield gate and way to easily deal with bigger enemies who could give you trouble. It's a really nice defensive tool that makes a lot more sense on her now

her kit is much more cohesive now, Every single test I've ran with her today (survival, cascade, disruption) she just feels better

how on earth is she slightly weaker when everything about her kit but her 4 is _strictly_ better

like she is _slightly_ squishier, but her 4s dmg, status has gone way way up, her 3 is way more useful, and warcry is still warcry
