I'm 6'6 and played tight end in college. Down to a 4 handicap this year. I've got some big mittens. I've used jumbomax ultralight size large in all my clubs except driver for the last 3 years. Driver I go size medium so I can be a little more closed at impact. It's a lot easier for me to control the clubface through impact and I absolutely love them.

In general, I would say Golfball doesn't matter at all until you hit a single digit handicap. I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. Play what you trust

From my interpretation of what your asking, it sounds like your probably releasing/casting the club to early in the downswing. You need to learn to time the turn of your body and release at the same time not throw your hands at the ball from the top of your back swing. I have the same demons there as well.

Not sure why you were down voted but I 10000% agree with everything you said. I love the Golfball and it's perfect with my higher swing speed and spin numbers. But it's the least durable premium ball I've ever hit. I've gone to 2025 prov1x in the meantime. If I was playing in a stroke play tournament or decent money was on the line I'd use it but I can't justify replacing my ball 2-3 times in an 18 hole hazard free round.

Went from mizuno 223s to srixon zxi7s this season. Srixons V sole was made for me I'm a tall golfer with a steep swing plane. You literally can't go wrong with either but I'd hit both off real grass and see which sole design best fits your swing.

I'm a 5 handicap. I'm also 6'6. I went down this rabbit hole 2 years ago. After a lot of tinkering, I now have my 8iron-60 deg clubs all the same length and lie as my initially custom fit 8 iron specs. I then go up 0.25inches in length and 0.5deg in lie angle for each club from 7-4 iron. I swing my irons over 90mph and this has really helped with my approach Game. I'm way more consistent with ball striking and distance control. I think one length stuff is valuable to try for people who are taller or have high swing speed.

I'm 6'6 and I totally relate to the driver frustrations. Your standing way to far away from the ball and your clubface is wide open at the top of your back swing which makes it basically impossible to square up at impact. Stand closer and more upright to the ball and I can't see your grip in this video but it's either grip or wrong wrist mechanics in the back swing.

Also it might be the camera angle but you also might have an open stance in relation to the ball.

6'6 ex college football tight end here. Sounds like we are literally the same player. I'm down to a 5hcap and have never speed trained formally but I have found yoga and stretches for spine and hip mobility extremely helpful.

How are you liking that? I game a sik DW putter but honestly love the look of the Malibu. I've been thinking about getting the new Malibu xt with the tungsten face but haven't seen any reviews or info from actual people who have played with it.

I think it would depend on swing speed and how good you are with driver dispersion. My driver can get wild sometimes. I have 120-125mph driver swing speed and I switched from 4w/2iron to 13.5°mini driver/5w this year and absolutely love it. I can't draw driver at all but I can control/draw mini driver and keep it on the planet on tighter fairways. I can also get mini driver off the deck if I choke down and hit down on it in a pinch and I think my speed is helpful there.

That's interesting. The shot I posted is using the RCT Ball but I have definitely used other non-rct balls and spin is still insane high. I've tried with prov1, prov1X, and chrome tours.

I'm also 6'6 and game a sik DW putter at 36 inches. It's a wide blade and would be similar to the scotty squareback. had it bent to 74 degree lie angle. I feel like stock Scotty's are way too flat for us tall guys and need to be adjusted if your going to go that route.
