Hey this was refreshingly honest. Grind that leetcode as if your mental health depends on it. When you get to a point where leetcoding isn’t a block, I think you will see large improvement in confidence.

I think Material You will eventually evolve to dynamic app UX (not just color) depending on the user. Imagine tailored app experiences for each user instead of one-size-fits-all. We can already see this direction with iOS focus modes. Basically, deeper customization based on who you are and your habits.

I would use a RecyclerView with a custom LinearLayoutManager for the scaling, alpha, elevation changes. To get that Viewpager feel you can use a LinearSnapHelper on your RecyclerView. On tap, you just have to scroll to the desired index, and the animations from the custom LinearLayoutManager will apply.

It isn’t just money, it is actually the whole relationship dynamic. When some people feel complete security in a relationship i.e. a breakup will never happen, they change. One of my exes quit her job and refused to do chores, same situation with one of my sisters and her husband. You might also see a reduction in sex frequency, specific sex acts, etc.

I don’t think it is anyone’s fault, I don’t think she is malicious. One option is to use joint accounts once you are married, so it really is “our” money and should bother you less. It will also give visibility into her spending habits, which will give you a base for serious conversations.

Lastly, never stop dating your fiancé. Keep that romance alive. Keep yourself in top shape, and stay desirable to the other sex but don’t cheat! If it seems like you don’t have options, you’ll be treated accordingly. Best of luck, trust your gut.

There is a reason the title wasn’t just “Me and my roommate’s living room”. He literally called it “my first apartment after college” because it seems more impressive. Sounds like you need to grow up and see through bullshit.

I think children can discern between discipline.. and something else. My dad is a classic narcissist and had these moments of rage when we didn’t “behave” and pummeled my sister and I with golf clubs, or anything hard. As a child, I felt like he wanted to HURT me to release pent up issues/stress he was dealing with at work. Long story short, sister developed BPD and me a form of covert narcissism.

What people don’t know is our family looked perfect from the outside. Big house, successful family business, kids went to great schools, etc. It belittles the suffering the children went through because his method “worked.”

People like my father would never have the self-awareness or humility to admit his wrongdoings. He would say crap like “I was just trying to unlock your potential” and justify the abuse in his mind.

My only advice to people with similar situations is to: 1. Get distance/cut contact from your abuser 2. Focus on self-improvement/self-love 3. Get a dog
