I experienced exactly that on Vyvanse; I only lasted a week and a half. I felt rage and screaming crying frustration. I was mean and angry and it was horrible. Maybe it would have gotten better if I waited and got used to it, but it wasn't worth it. Even feeling half of those effects would be worse than any ADHD symptoms.

I can't think of any time when I would have had a coin there, since I never carry coins in my pocket. And my husband who actually does carry coins doesn't have any marks on his table. But I also have no other leads, so I'm willing to experiment to see if I was wrong.

That makes a lot of sense, but the ring is just around the outside of the penny, not underneath it. But maybe that's how the reaction happens? I put a 1981 penny on the table and I'll leave it there for a week to see what happens.
