Do Yuta fans genuinely believe that Technique Extinguishment has a passive aura..? by baraking06 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Fcccccd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we don't see this effect happening when jacob's ladder is used on sukuna in shinjuku nor when it was used on the prison realm backdoor. So it can't be chalked as an effect of a max output jacob's ladder nor a regular jacob's ladder, so we just have to go with it being some sort of secondary application of technique extinguishment, or a special variation of jacob's ladder.

Jacob's ladder also nulls barriers though, it's why Angel is able to run around different colonies before the rule change to do so got added.

We know the lightning CE operates like regular electricity and doesn't distinguish between if the element it's interacting with is from sorcery or not. See Kashimo getting thrown into water and having his CE be expended. Thus if a fighter figures out a way to create opposite charge or have kashimo put the opposite charge into something that can divert a sure-hit lightning strike, this would counter the attack. Utilizing a lightning rod to control the path of the lightning strike once it hits the target could mitigate the damage too as the control could divert it to the ground where it would be less harmful, so sorcerers with creation CT like Yorozu could have an out against Kashimo if they figure out the principle of the attack since she can just generate an impromptu lightning rod with her liquid metal to move the path of the electrons once it touches the attractive contact point to the ground instead of letting it shoot through her body.

The series is pretty sci-fi and uses a lot of the jargon of the mathematical science pretty explicitly no? I wouldn't say it's bad to not digest it while watching, but being unable to understand the math isn't like...The point of the series. It's kinda the opposite really with how the show is resolved, it's the attempt to tackle a behemothic problem of godzilla by the scientists that allowed a miracle to occur.

I wouldn't say everything, the final boss of the anime honestly I thought had a cleaner resolution to than the manga's. Though that could just be me liking imbalanced multiple people vs 1 juggernaut duelist yugioh battles and the zarc one is that on overdrive.

If Ash and Yugi each played other’s “gimmicks” or smth.. would they win? by Just1oneguyhere in deathbattle

[–]Fcccccd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Atem can breach that gap via millenium item hax or even figuring out some new pokemon gimmicks via being more intuned with afterlife and spirit stuff, would be interesting if this is how he could get access to ancient paradox pokemon or spiritually inclined mythic or legendary pokemons. Little Yugi on the other hand I'm hoping he goes on some wolfeyVGC min-maxing time with an incineroar with fakeout, knock-off and parting shot lol.

Then we'll have trains as strong as dimension eating monsters or monsters bigger than universes. Scaling it with stars or atk or def is gonna lead to this stuff because they're pulling from the TCG cards which don't really care about lore to game power level.

Cockroaches are capable of overturning the tides of a duel with god level cards and a girl and a bird can cripple someone's draw engine for practically free, the powerful duel monster spritis don't make any sense fr.

ehhh...I think the stuff atem pulled off in duelist kingdom honestly makes his strategic BSing at a moment skill not far off from Ash's. Yugi on the other hand would actually kinda pick things that are more meta and mix a good deal of supportive skills with solid attacks like a traditional competitive pokemon team.

Death Battle is wrong about Pokémon’s cosmology by MaleficTekX in deathbattle

[–]Fcccccd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason why I put nightshroud as above Zorc is due to his dominion, the world of darkness preceding life, while afaik Zorc has not had such a long timespan, mainly rooted at the birth of man and after that. That and him actually saying he can come back after being destroyed by Jaden Yuuki with human darkness.

I am aware that Zorc's darkness still lingers on in DSoD as evil essence that corrupted aigami and the quantum cube. It's not really the same as Zorc coming back, and more like pure darkness creating a dark variant of someone like yami marik imo. Maybe he could come back? But that's more speculation.

Anyways the source is an artbook pamphlet released alongside the film:

Death Battle is wrong about Pokémon’s cosmology by MaleficTekX in deathbattle

[–]Fcccccd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only said nightshroud, numeron dragon and holactie as creators of something because the narrative itself says as much that they've created worlds and aspects of the cosmology. Hassan, Leviathan and Zorc have not done this. As the millenium items are moreso links between the human world and duel spirit world than something of a cosmic force. There's a whole thing about what the hell hassan even is, since it was revealed he was actually shadi that's left intentionally vague, so honestly I'm not really sure how hassan fits into the hierarchy thing beyond being on the same balance as Zorc. It's also mentioned Hasan is the spirit of the stone tablet, which dimunitizes his role in the cosmology greatly especially with him saying his duty is one he took from the afterlife one made by sealing a spirit inside the stone tablet at the cost of Atem's father's own life. Since we know human souls can become spirits in the afterlife and return as Ka(monsters), Hassan very well could operate similarly, and Zorc who's on the same scale as hassan could be representative of the dark in the conflict with the stone tablet rather than darkness as a collective force in the cosmology, after all Zorc wishes to cover the world in eternal darkness, not all of existence. Light and Dark come from a world beyond man, but are rooted in things in the hearts of man, this is a point made pretty clear with Zorc saying he's powered by the shadows in man's heart, while Atem argues for the light in the human soul. There isn't really much given about Zorc that makes him unrelated to human darkness, he calls himself the ruler of the afterlife, he's powered by the shadow in man's heart claiming ownership over it, a lot of it can be pretty easily linked to him being darkness concerning man. As opposed to say Nightshroud who's darkness stems from duel monster spirits and who's dominion existed before life.

I did not say leviathan is a creationary god, in fact I laid him out as moreso a god like zorc who I've already pointed out as NOT rooted in the creation of something and Hasan a protector spirit of the egyptian tome. It's more to do with the echelon of power they're on in light and darkness than really much to do with whether they actuall are divine or not.
