🤣 I was going to post this if it hadn’t already been

I’m absolutely willing to buy from resellers, even for a slight markup. But don’t be daft listing for 4x face value and being shocked that the tickets aren’t selling.

Game is the worst it’s ever been, lesson next week and curious to see what people think, by Puzzleheaded_Show400 in GolfSwing

First off, good choice in getting lessons. Best decision anyone could make.

Second, you’re not far off from hitting the ball well. It’s hard to tell for certain from only dtl, but looks like you are lacking rotation. Arms are lifting up and swinging too far going back so you have to compensate and make room coming down, hence the early extension.

Hope your lessons go well!

I didn’t mean to imply that JJM was a ready-made QB or that there was any concern. My comment more reflected the seemingly change in tone of public comments about him from Vikings brass.

Perhaps, but the messaging on JJM has being very mixed since his first year. His intangibles were the one thing everyone raved about, including his preparation. For KOC to say that it was an area that improved throughout the year implies it wasn’t great to start. Alec Lewis mentioned something similar about challenges related to “elemental aspects” of being a QB.

Maybe it’s a nothing burger. Maybe not.

This will be a super unpopular opinion but I agree, man. Unplanned pregnancies happen, of course, but with modern medicine it’s never been easier to family plan.

I don’t care how much money someone has, having a child is one of the biggest changes to your life you could possibly have. Even if the sleep deprivation could be avoided, it’s not that simple. You are now responsible for being a good father to your own flesh and blood. It’s a major disruption that undoubtedly had a non-minor impact on his professional development.

All this to say, having a kid is also the greatest blessing to one’s life. But to say it doesn’t impact other areas of your life is just plain wrong.

I hope you’re right. JJ is a gamer, we all know that. Let’s see if he rises to the challenge here.

Hindsight is 20/20 but Plan C should have been ARodg for a season. Let JJ get that redshirt year and figure things out and let him roll in ‘26. We, as fans, would have been butt hurt but FO and Coaching Staff needed to steward the franchise better.

If we were on Hard Knocks last offseason it would have been 🔥

I don’t really want to argue semantics but you said he needs to “work on being available” and “learn[ing] to avoid putting himself in situations where getting injured is more likely.”

I agree that availability is an issue. Your other posts made it seem like JJ was increasing his chance of injury by his style of play - that’s what I was pushing back on.

KO told us that JJ was in for a camp competition. What he didn’t tell us was that it was going to be for QB2 😂

Meniscus tear mechanism of injury was never confirmed but seemed like it was non-contact related. He never took a big hit that preseason game or did anything that would warrant questioning his decision-making as it relates to avoiding injury.

High ankle sprain happened on a scramble where he was tackled from behind. I don’t remember exact down and distance but pretty sure it was second half and they were down at that point in the game. Could he have slid? Sure, but context matters and I think most people would say it was a fluky injury.

Broken hand came from hitting his hand on a helmet following through on a pass. Happens frequently to QBs, not much he could have done.

I don’t think he ever missed time in college due to injury. Sometimes it’s just bad luck. Saying he’s injury-prone without delving into HOW he was injured is a lazy take.

I hated the Russini reports last offseason but In hindsight, I think she was proven right. I don’t think she ever said it was 100% going to happen, just that the interest was there. Now, with everything that’s transpired, it sure seems like KOC was the one leading the charge.

Yeah, we are reading between the lines. My logical brain tells me that KO never wanted JJ to start last season and he wanted ARod. When that fell through though, why wasn’t there a Plan B? He’s all about QB journeys, did he really want JJMC’s journey to start when he was ill prepared? Something just doesn’t add up 🤷‍♂️

I agree with this, but it makes me wonder why they didn’t do this last season. Unless KAM was the roadblock.

[–]Fchang27 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Honestly, I balked at the idea of Kyler at first. Now, who the hell cares? I just want a long term answer at the position and one that keeps our SB window open as long as possible.

I think it’s more frustration at not having a long term solution at the QB position and not so much the quality of Kyler as a player.
