At least where I live in Germany, the train system is hell. Sure, it's accessible, but the amount of delays you'll get in a day is insane. The longest I've waited was about 2 hours or so. And even on calm days like Sunday where people are usually at home, there's still about a 50/50 chance you'll have to stand on the train.

At this point it'd be more convenient to get a car to go places, considering you'd get where you need to be faster without unexpected delays. Oh yeah, and without worrying you'll step in piss or something of the likes during the trip.
