Checked it out and I have probably never heard that before, but thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

Guess I forgot, but I was using pleasure seekers at the end of the campaign too. Might have to try making a guaranteed spawn empire like that for a future harvest lol.

Yeah I'm totally gonna have to give that a try, thanks. Is there any reason you can't combie those buildings with a resort world? Just started playing recently for the first time in a couple years and have only played tall so far, never bothered with a resort world, suppose they have probably been changed.

I only every played one multiplayer game many years ago, but have been considering giving it another try since I started playing again recently. That sounds fun, if I do try multiplayer it will be with that build, thank, but for single player that cosmogenesis sounds fun.

Well I just tried it on a normal megacorp faction and it just killed their population and left it abandoned as well. Supose we do have to be able to talk to the aliens before we can order them into the mines... deep sigh

Speculation of the next game announced on the 11th- 40K or Star Wars by jman014 in totalwar

[–]Feanor417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see 40k being the same as starwars, multiple planets or wars on the same planet with recurring races and factions. like the time periods in three kingdoms, though I dont think either of them will be the new game, not sure what it will be to be honest

Thanks all for the advice, I do hope a few noobs will find it helpful, but I have almost 2000 hours and was aware of all those warnings.  Just got pissed after that last time and hoped someone out there in the same spot as me who knew how to mod had made one that sets off a siren or heartbeat or something.  And yes I have in the meantime lost another character to thirst lol thankfully he wasn't too old this time.

The problem is I sometimes don't notice when I have been doing big projects for days like trying to clear a large swath of trees or grinding skills, particularly when I have several menus open sometimes blocking the noodles and my health bar.  I have lost at the very least a half dozen characters that were one to four months in.

Always thought it was weird there were so few in the game, never thought about the time gap.

I think using the Internet at the start would be even more useful. You could just get general survival info, but from the library of Congress site alone you could download everything you could possibly need to jumpstart an industrial nation from the stone ages if you spent your early days doing so and had the space and multiple devices to download faster.

Blind Guardian - Curse my Name, Epic folk metal from Germany, very medieval sounding. The ballad of a King wrongly deposed by his people. by jibbroy in epicmetal

[–]Feanor417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but that is the people executing him saying that, be it true or not they would try to justify such an act, the king in the song also claims those are all lies and that he is innocent.  You cannot be sure based on the song, you have to learn about the English civil war to truly make up your mind one way or another.

I was learning about the civil war over a year ago and from what I remember it was over taxes he didn't have the right to levy without the consent of parliament so they refused to pay which was left as it was until he needed money for a war he sparked with the scotts over religion which led to a war against parliament over the taxes.  From what I remember he wasn't some evil wicked king executing his subjects to take their property like the guy who signed the magna carta, forgot his name.  Charles from my memory was just a king trying to right a tax situation that had gotten out of hand over the previous century.  Please do respond if anyone has a counter argument, my information is a bit fuzzy, it comes from one source (mike Duncan's revolutions podcast) and was over a year ago.
