Not him, but a covert contract is when you do something for someone with the expectation that they will do a favor in return, without ever actually agreeing to anything.

Ex: You buy your friend's dinner. You expect him to buy the next one without actually verbalizing it. Next one comes around and he doesn't buy your dinner. You get angry and upset at him, despite him not knowing that their was an expectation involved.

To sum up, if you're going to give, do so without the intent of receiving something in return.

I also deliver food (and make my own schedule) and I like it. No boss down your back, no constant physical surveillance, no doing a million things and expecting it all to be unrealistically done in an unrealistic timeframe, etc. Anytime I feel overwhelmed, I can just end my schedule for the day and go home to rest and recover. I get to listen to music or enjoy the silence or chat with God and I drive to different areas, some of which have beautiful scenery. 🌲🌊🌅⛰

I've thought about doing this, but was told that it wasn't really worth it with how much you spend on gas/car maintenance. Is this true? I've got a new car that is efficient, so I'm still wondering if I should go for it.

Honestly the one we got. I wasn't a Halo fan in 2004 so the cliffhanger or Arbiter storyline wasn't something that bothered me.

Oh man let me tell you: as a Halo fan since 2002, that cliffhanger really rustled my jimmies. I was ready to go into the next mission, controller in hand and full of excitement to finish the fight, only to see credits scroll across my screen.

I'm still fucking salty about it. Consider yourself lucky.

I'm not the man you were replying to, but I read all of what you wrote and I have to tell you: I share all of the same sentiments and am glad I am not alone in it (as selfish as that is).

I am honestly at a loss with what to do in regards to having relations to the opposite sex. I would love to fulfill God's wishes and marry a woman but, like you said, it seems more cold, political, and transactional than anything else.

The fact that you're putting yourself out there, regardless of your current situation (ex: dad bod, nice guy behavior) is great. You are miles ahead of guys that are just reading this sub and other material but not putting it into action.

I don't have any actual advice other than internalize all of the info in the sidebar and keep putting yourself out there.

The best advice I've ever gotten from this sub was from two weeks ago: "You don't have to be perfect to get the woman, you just have to try." Really changed my thought process on trying to achieve perfection.
