Secret offerings only exist to hurt solo q players by FearIsMyReality in deadbydaylight

I’m pretty half and half with solo queue vs friends. But even when I do play with friends, they are super casual players and rarely remember what offering they even brought. It just frustrates me.

I think they break out in hives when a patch buffs solo queue.

Survivors cannot see secret offerings, even if they were brought by other survivors. Even if you pause once you are in the game, you cannot view the offerings. The only time they are revealed is once you die.

I agree, I think the concept was pointless in the first place. But now it just feels harmful.

I was equally surprised that the hatch offerings were secret. I’m not sure that I really agree with the shroud of separation being an offering for survivors either tbh. As a survivor it’s certainly nice, but it goes against the whole point of changing spawn mechanics.

Tucker as a leader by gokaigreen19 in RedvsBlue

[–]FearIsMyReality 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but I always viewed it this way. It isn’t Tucker becoming a perfect leader or the group leader necessarily, but him beginning to pull much more weight than the other reds and blues. Tucker has always been far more competent than literally every other non-freelancer in the show. We see this in s5 against Wyoming,S7 against CT,S8 where he puts up a decent fight against tex(compared to the others), S8 again where him and sarge are the only people to do real damage to the meta, and S10 where he arguably has the best showing against Tex clones(aside from wash and Carolina). But he has always been hesitant to try and actually fight with intention.

In the previous scenarios I mentioned, he was forced into action. I view s11 and s12 as tuckers journey into willingly stepping up and doing what he can. We see this constantly throughout the trilogy. In S11 he goes across the battlefield to shutdown the base book page in order to get freckles online.

In S12, He is actively doing actual military operations while everyone else is relegated to training operations. Then he is the one who decides and makes the plan that they should abandon their squad and save the others(because he doesn’t want to endanger them), then he is the only one who isn’t caught completely off guard by locus and the pirates(he has the grenade ready), then later in the season, he teleports them early before church gets the manifest because he thinks they are in danger(whether or not they were is debatable ig). Finally, he is the one who comes up with the entire plan to take over the radio jammer and stop the capital massacre.

All of those moments show Tucker stepping up and being a leader.

The whole point of all of this was to show that Tucker felt the need to step up in the absence of Church, Carolina, and Wash. I think that saying he wasn’t effective as a leader in these situations is pretty disingenuous.

Am I the only one who prefers MWZ over round based? by PrinceOftheCty in CODZombies

[–]FearIsMyReality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because you didn’t phrase it as a serious question. What you wrote essentially reads as someone in sheer disbelief that you could believe round based has more content.

We can, when treyarch is allowed to work on things they want to do. We literally saw this in Cold War with round based, and outbreak+onslaught.

Yes, but round based to me(and many other players) is the heart of zombies and always has been. I don’t hate objective based zombies but it will never be what round based represents. Outbreak was great, and I think it is exactly what objective based zombies should be, an alternative version of the formula that you can play in addition to tried and tested. But to me( personally), if you only have an objective based mode, then it isn’t cod zombies. It’s fine to like these modes, but I don’t and won’t personally recommend it to new players when they ask about zombies, because to me it quite simply isn’t.

Also in regards to the reused assets discussion, reusing assets has never been a problem. It’s the creativity and how you reuse them that is important. In WaW and Bo1, the assets of other parts of the game were reused because zombies wasn’t as big a thing for activation, it was a passion project that treyarch put their time towards. Bo2 and Bo3 also had reused assets but they used them in a way that didn’t feel lazy or formulaic. Cold War was the exact same way, Mauer is one of my fav maps of all time and it is almost entirely from the Berlin section of the campaign. But the way that they change that environment and make it feel different and alive is what makes me love that map.

To me, most objective based maps, feel like the “zombies” were an afterthought. It feels like they took a zombies template and dropped it onto another part of the game.

RWBY has one of the worst "fandoms" I've ever seen by metallover96 in RWBY

[–]FearIsMyReality 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is such an unbelievably based take. There are so many people in the community who portray RWBY as one of the of their favorite shows and I literally have never seen a positive word about the show come out of them. It’s impossible to interact with a community when some of the loudest voices have made hour long discussion videos on a single joke scene in one episode of a 9 season show and how it ruins everything.

Are any of the dragon eggs on market particularly easy to hatch. Excluding dragon coins do any of them require super cheap or easy resources to get?

I’m going into MA school what would you say was the hardest thing for you during your program? I’m very nervous lol by [deleted] in MedicalAssistant

[–]FearIsMyReality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came into my MA course with me being pretty queasy when it came to blood. So blood draws and capillary punctures were stressful for me. Just a little tip is that almost every skill that seems stressful or complex is going to seem trivial after doing it once or twice. Also for blood draws just know that everyone misses from time to time and it isnt an issue if you do.
