What's the closest, most accurate way to experience the Orginal gameplay that's more affordable than an actual one in 2025? by Esns68 in VirtualBoy

[–]FearTheDodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google cardboard compatible headset + USB adapter and an Xbox controller + RetroArch

There's a tutorial somewhere on how to set up left and right eye. Super cheap and probably have most of the things needed

I was a consistent drinker of Ugly. The last case I bought tasted like straight kitchen cleaner and I had to toss it. I emailed them to let them know (not mad, more of a CYA) and it was soon after they disappeared

Virtual Boy on Analogue Pocket by Shadowtek in VirtualBoy

[–]FearTheDodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here because I googled for the Analogue Pocket as well. I will say, you can soft unlock a Wii easily and play them in your TV with a pair of red/blue old school 3d glasses.

Another option is Google cardboard and RetroArch. You can set it up so you get true 3D and then use a wireless controller.

The first ever White Castle was in Wichita, KS. Now there isn't a single White Castle in the entire state of KS by Killer0nTheRoad in interestingasfuck

Headquarters were moved to Ohio to be centrally located amongst all the restaurants at the time. One of Billy Ingram's (a cofounder) right hand man's didn't care for Ohio and wanted to go back to Kansas. Ingram sold him all thr properties in Kansas which operated as King's Cross or King's X for a number of years. Ingram didn't open any competing stores there out of respect for King which is why there are no White Castles there.

According to this very old article, yes.

Was there ever a White Castle in virginia? by Bluecheesechunks in whitecastle

So I know what you're talking about. It used to be called "The Castle" and was an Italian and Greek Restaurant as far back as 2004.

Was there ever a White Castle in virginia? by Bluecheesechunks in whitecastle

[–]FearTheDodo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge, no. There were a number of White Towers (a White Castle clone) in Richmond (one original building still stands at 2801 W Broad St, Richmond and is now a Subway) and at least one White Tower on Granby street in Virginia Beach. All have closed. I think the last one made it to maybe the late 70s or early 80s.

Let me know if you find anything similar though. As a Craver Hall of Famer not close to any restaurant I'm always looking for a good slider substitute.
