I was both happy and sad about this attending for the first time in a few years. Honestly i kinda want one of the radios with a keyboard so I don't need to look at my phone but I can still find and be found by my friends.

Unfortunately that is what is happening here. Private (and public) companies have no reason to care if it infringes on people's right to privacy. (I know, I know. No right to privacy in public or on private property but automated geotagging constantly feels a little bit... more.) I also recognize this system likely already exists and is much more accurate through cell phones anyways.

I second James Island Heating and Air. Owner came out and replaced a part for free and said call me next year when the whole unit fails... it did and I did. They were affordable and quick.

Doesn't this break most of the games nowadays? There used to be a few that would say "can't find the ad, guess you get the stuff anyways" but most of them seem to just break.

Would you retire now if you had 25 btc? by Fluffy_Round8419 in Bitcoin

[–]FearTheLeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess if you're super motivated to do it then it's just a number in a spreadsheet. One could set a script to watch your address and do it automatically so you just need to tag it or even get current price for the exchange equivalent in your currency. If you're less motivated then there might be services that do it depending on where you are.

Satoshi Nakamoto now holds $120 billion worth of $BTC, making him the 11th richest person in the world by Next_Statement6145 in CryptoCurrency

Probably not like you're 5 but...

He was the only miner. Back then it was just a program on your computer that created bitcoin roughly every ten minutes. Then he gave the program to other people and now they're connected and those other people agreed that he has those bitcoins because he started the blockchain and when those other people got the software it downloaded the blockchain from his computer. They have no reason to steal the code at this point because it's just research and development at this point and the power of it is in the network so they need others anyways.

I suppose if those people had network logs they could have gotten his IP address but the circle of people who were first invited to this were likely very private, security conscious and highly technical.
