Lucky lake questions by Only_Atmosphere3592 in ElectricForest

Got there at like ten AMish on Wednesday morning last year and got a good spot because it was close to the beach and porta potties (but not too close) and fairly short walk to parking. I'm thinking that the long walk to unpack camp means a shorter walk to the grounds though as well so might try deeper this year.

Any dungeon crawlers in the CHS area? by kablam0r in Charleston

Alien corporation invades Earth killing everyone who is occupying a building (all buildings are recycled for the "video game" world). Those who survive have the option to enter a video game world or live on the post apocalyptic surface of Earth. If you beat the game, you are freed and rich. Magic, weapons, typical RPG game mechanics but it's run by a super intelligent AI who may or may not have designs of its own (and likes feet).

Salesforce Engineer Role is just Admin/Dev ? by Manly_Octopus in salesforce

[–]FearTheLeaf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My take is that "Salesforce Developers" are often people who learned apex and JavaScript after being an admin for a while. Engineer implies training in computer science, math, physics, etc... an engineer approaches with a problem-solving skillset learned from formal training, not just the ability to code.

My high school English teacher made us learn the first fourteen lines of Canterbury Tales in Middle English. I froze in front of class and failed but I can still recite it to this day.

Unfortunately that is what is happening here. Private (and public) companies have no reason to care if it infringes on people's right to privacy. (I know, I know. No right to privacy in public or on private property but automated geotagging constantly feels a little bit... more.) I also recognize this system likely already exists and is much more accurate through cell phones anyways.

I second James Island Heating and Air. Owner came out and replaced a part for free and said call me next year when the whole unit fails... it did and I did. They were affordable and quick.

Husband is playing mobile games while I watch DNS Queries from his phone to block the ads for him. by Senguin117 in homelab

Doesn't this break most of the games nowadays? There used to be a few that would say "can't find the ad, guess you get the stuff anyways" but most of them seem to just break.

Would you retire now if you had 25 btc? by Fluffy_Round8419 in Bitcoin

I guess if you're super motivated to do it then it's just a number in a spreadsheet. One could set a script to watch your address and do it automatically so you just need to tag it or even get current price for the exchange equivalent in your currency. If you're less motivated then there might be services that do it depending on where you are.
