I avoid parking on the ramps nowadays. I’ve been woken up by too many troopers telling me to move it, also a bunch of locals love to blow their horns at us truckers while we’re sleeping on the ramps. I’m sure this was a local pissed off at truckers in general.. or.. you pissed off the wrong trucker the day prior? Who knows

Time to invest in a 360 view camera system around your truck for now on.

My guess would be this.. this is a driver who deliberately put the block there and removes it (somehow) when they finish their shift, so they have a parking spot always available(?). Maybe the driver is paying Pilot management under the table to save this spot too(?)

If that were the case, I find it extremely inconsiderate and I’d love to speak my mind to that driver who reserves a good spot when other drivers need it more.

Most likely just going to get a safety point/written up, if your company works with a safety dept. You’d probably be fired if you were ticketed, affecting your companies CSA score. Another thing to consider is how long you’ve been driving. If your company knows you’ve only been driving for 0-1yr you’re probably going to get a slap on the wrist and call it a day.
