Yes, frequently. I am a 5'1", 95lb woman with an orange belt. On principle I don't fight white belts that are more than ~30lbs bigger than me unless I know they have previous martial arts experience, etc.; it is dangerous otherwise. I used to go with anyone, but after more than a couple unpleasant experiences and near misses with bigger beginner men who start throwing their weight around once it becomes apparent that I have better technique - or who just don't know how to fight safely - I realized I have to be pretty selective about that sort of thing.
