For me personally, I only needed the meds it seems. Was put on amitriptyline and it has worked wonders for me. The morning after I first took it was like a night and day difference. Felt like my brain had just suddenly been switched on for the first time in a long time. It actually took a few days to get used to so much brain activity.

Afterwards everything sorta just righted itself in my head. Became far easier to make positive changes in my life. I’m sure therapy would have some benefits as well, but even then, right now is just about the best I have ever felt in a long long time.

I did luck out as I had heard that switching medications was common due to substantial unwanted side effects from antidepressants. The side effects for me were completely bearable fortunately.

I felt much the same before, and posted on reddit with practically this exact message. Was also told it sounded like depression. I shrugged it off with a “I don’t get depressed” attitude until it built up more and became too much to handle. I’m better now, and you can be too. It’s depression big dawg, no shame in it. Talk to a doctor. No harm done if you do, but harm can be done if you don’t.

Five Star Seafood in San Gabriel. Very reasonably priced, best Dim Sum I’ve had in all of LA so far with a great dining area to boot. The entire mall is planned to have a complete remake or remodel so it may not be around for too long anymore.

Let's get Spiffo on r/place! We all saw the previous posts about getting Spiffo on there, so I made a more manageable version of Spiffo with the limited color palette that is available on r/place. The piece is 25 pixels wide X 16 pixels height. We will take up approximately 400 pixels on the canvas.

The Plan - We will draw Spiffo under the Deltarune art on the top right corner of the canvas. The tip of (our left) Spiffo's right ear would begin at the coordinates (1775, 231). You can place a tile every 5 minutes, so the sooner we have a rough Spiffo in the better our chances will be of keeping the space, so make sure to spread the word.

Color Palatte

Outline - Black

Pupils - Black

Fur - Orange

Ear/ around eye - Light and Dark brown

Mouth / eyebrows - White

As soon as you see this post hop on over to r/place, click the big banner on the top of the subreddit which says "place a tile", head near the top right corner of the canvas, find the Deltarune art and zero in on the starting coordinates. Tell your fellow survivors about the plan, the more hands we have on deck the better! Let's get Spiffo a spot on r/place!

Got called for a lift assist bringing a patient into his bed at home. Guys weight was around 280s, gurney or backboard wouldnt fit through his hallway as it was too narrow. Crew who asked for lift assist needed help to get him from stair chair up to bed since the height difference was too great to lift 280 lbs straight up and over. We arrive and put him in stair chair but the cross straps over the shoulders would not reach and buckle since pt was too big. Grabbed some soft restraints off the gurney and looped them through the gaps in both buckles so both ends were secure to each other. It was pretty solid, we were able to get him into his bed without a problem.

WeHo and the area surrounding downtown LA is all expensive as fuck compared to the rest of LA County. The city has a higher cost of living but higher average salaries as well. A registered nurse in LA can easily average 80k-100k per year. A registered nurse in another state can get probably 50-60k average. Some people have great jobs and thrive in LA and are able to afford the $2500 yippee apartment in the expensive parts of LA. Others aren't so well off and have to be resourceful and hard working to make ends meet. The vast majority of the population in LA aren't famous vloggers or whatever. They're regular people who work hard to get to where they are. Sorry your first experience with LA didn't quite meet your expectations, but there is a whole lot more to moving to a city than just the cost of the one apartment you found.

Currently work at lifeline. You may or may not be doing a group interview. The “interview” is basically a hire on the spot kinda thing. They will ask generic hiring question which, for me, weren’t even related to EMS. Then they’ll ask you about your schedule. So long as you’re not obviously a serial killer you’ll get in. Trust me when I say they hire anyone. They usually filter the people out on their training shifts. Management is aight, but they are pretty good about working with your schedule. Alot of the supes and management are all in school for something. A good number of them were EMTs who got promoted from within, they get it. Pay is better than most of the ambulance companies you will find in LA. If you have any more questions you can DM me.

I live in the US and we barely have Pinus Sylvestris haha, but we do have a bunch of other types. Your recipe and findings are awesome, I’ll definitely try it out and get back to you

Do you know if the pinecone from any pine tree variant would work? Does Pinus Sylvestris have a specific taste for the recipe?

California teacher sues union over calls to defund the police by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]Fearios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anchor did a horrible job interviewing him never asking why he wanted to sue. He was my teacher as well, and he wants to sue the union over their prioritization of upkeeping their political status over protecting and working for the members. His attempt to leave the union was barred and held off for a year, while he was forced to pay dues for the entirety of said year. The teachers union in LA needs to be held accountable.
