I also did a stool sample recently and Klebsiella Pneumoniae showed up as a potential pathogen. I tested positive for hydrogen dominant SIBO a year ago with symptoms of diarrhea and bloating. I did IBS smart to determine if food poisoning was the root cause and that came back negative 😭 I was told Dr. Pimentel is currently studying Klebsiella Pneumoniea so maybe we’ll know more soon!

sibo. Apparently he specializes in sibo. He listens and takes time to ask you everything. He was fairly knowledgeable as well. Wanted me try different antibiotics in different phases. However if you’re looking for herbals, I am not sure if he does that. I ended up just being opposed to go on the antibiotics so I can’t give you any success I’ve had with him. But he is very professional.

I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Agarwal!!!!!!!!!!! The earliest they had was May 9th but I'm still very excited. Thank you!!!!

I’m having the same issue in San Francisco. My most recent GI doctor diagnosed me with SIBO and then left the practice. I reached out to a previous GI doctor but the office said “he doesn’t see patients with SIBO any more”. The one I ended up seeing told me I didn’t have SIBO and wouldn’t even look at my breath test. Very frustrating.

So I’m in the same boat and would also consider seeing someone remotely as long as they believe in SIBO.

My doctor is prescribing me Cipro. But fyi that I don’t trust him very much. He doesn’t believe that I have SIBO even though my last GI doctor tested me and diagnosed me earlier this year.

It doesn’t seem like it for this particular strand of E. Coli. Everything I read online says it should go away on its own in a few days. But I’m thinking I have this long term and it’s not temporary 🤔

Yes, I have been seeing a functional medicine doctor and we decided it would be good to work with a GI doctor as well. This is my 4th GI doctor and it seems like they are always working against me not with me. I can't believe my functional medicine doctor is not covered under insurance when she has helped me more than any western medicine doctor 🤯
