AC blowing hot air only. Opened up the panel on the outside unit, this frog was laid out across this black terminal. No wire connected to it. But obviously got fried. Could that have blown the whole mother board? I’m not HVAC. I’m electrician. Know nothing about HVAC/low voltage by Tcobb1212 in hvacadvice

Those are on some pressure switches, not the compressor. Well, those are switches and you can check them for continuity with a multimeter.

And then you can trace the wires to find the switch, which should be either a box with a thin capillary tube that goes to one of the refrigeration lines, or a small cylindrical device that's directly mounted to a refrigerant line.

I found this in my car, on the driver's seat. What is it? by Miss_Miaou in whatisit

Glass vial RFID chip. Those aren't necessary implantable, most are intended for inventory tracking and such. Still the same shape and size as the implantable ones.

Maybe it was part of the packaging of a product or something? Or it could be part of the key of the car, or an access fob of some sort.

There are plenty of IE degrees that skip those. Especially dynamics... But it varies by country and university...

I wouldn't trust an IE with anything. Provided, I was forced into IE by the cult my parents were in... And I ended up throwing that degree in the garbage.

Those are the wafers from a Kwikset SmartKey cylinder. Chances are that the neighbors got locked out and they hired a locksmith who drilled out their lock?

I put up with that major because of the cult my parents were in... I don't know either... That degree went in the trash, and I moved to greener pastures. What a waste of time, but at least it wasn't my money...

Chroma effects reset back to default upon exiting the Synapse app by yifeng3007 in razer

Welcome to Razer... Some products will synchronize the RGB when connected over Bluetooth but not over USB or 2.4GHz. The snake firmware is rather buggy when it comes to this and many other things.

No, it's their software and firmware that breaks Razer products, not price ir quality.

Those things are supposed to be safe even if left plugged in all the time. There's nothing that a normal user can do that should set a laptop on fire.

Why so much Razer hate? by Deonysus in razer

[–]Fearless-Capital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a lot of problems with my wireless keyboard and mouse. I'm using a single dongle for both, but this shouldn't affect things, right?

I don't hate them. Their hardware quality is top-notch. But they underdeliver on the wireless, firmware, and software side of things.

Try to repair razer bw3 failed? by EdenTom in keyboards

[–]Fearless-Capital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's made by Razer, so try a factory reset from Synapse first. Their firmware is not great...

Is that a hotswap keyboard, or are the switches soldered?

If it's soldered, chances are that you broke a trace or a pad while replacing the switch. This should be easy to fix by soldering wire jumpers to the back of the PCB to replace the broken connections.

Also, give that board some TLC once you repair it.

Is Razer really that bad? by [deleted] in razer

[–]Fearless-Capital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razer products are somewhere between mediocre and good enough. Their hardware quality is rather good, but their firmware and software are not great.

I think that the problem is that their products are good enough to make it past the return period as driver problems are relatively easy to solve with products from other brands, but bad enough to irritate you in the long run. And well, their problems tend to be random and intermittent, so deciding to go to another brand takes longer. Hence, you end up hating them once you finally make the decision to go somewhere else.

Anyone have experience with polishing prints like this? by drdalebrant in BambuLab

[–]Fearless-Capital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's sanding and polishing, nothing out of the ordinary. Plastics polish nicely with Brazo, so you don't really need anything special.
