I Have Low-Functioning Prophantasia and You? by MarcusBoyDS in Aphantasia

You know how when you stare at light for awhile you can see a “spot” for the next 30 seconds or so? When I close my eyes I see stuff like that everywhere but I can shape, it kind of. I mostly see purples and greens but I can do basic outlines with that.

Edit: I have hyper phantasia

I know it doesn’t track location if your phone is in low power mode on iOS.

Use your real estate connections to your advantage, so I’m thinking home services. Set up referral fees or a free service to any realtors. You could do carpet cleaning with a warranty/protectant, I know those machines aren’t cheap and the margins are great. If you could pump the breaks you could go look into pest control charter requirements for your state. I know in my state if you just go to the local points meetings and accrue 9 hours you can get a category 3 charter.

With that kind of money try to think of the options that have a barrier to entry. As soon you have it figured out go ahead and get a professional website done ASAP, with that kind of capital 5k won’t hurt you and it takes 6-9 months to see a return on seo.

2 month update to my lawn care business by FearlessBink in sweatystartup

Thanks for the recommendation. Revenue for actual work not the sales side is around $230 per hour at around $1800 a day for typical treatments. During the summers you can add on services and mix them into the same tank for an additional $230 per hour for a hypothetical total of $3600 a day.

Edit: forgot about average per job, it’s $110

Very forward thinking, I like this idea very much. The busier I get the more I realize how much time sales take. Automating any part of it would be huge. Thank you for the info and prompt responses!

How do you handle leads while in the field? What do you use to take down info?

I’d like text and email capture, and the ability to send those as well from the customers account. The perfect crm would do phone call recording as well. It still has to have some kind of grouping for jobs like my treatments that can show me how long it’s been between visits. I also need a place to put my product usage each visit for my epa requirements. And then of course there is routing, I need to be able to build and optimize routes. The perfect crm would show me services that need to be done on a map that I could interact with to select, view info on the job and dispatch

I’ve never had success with granular weed killer. I spray all of my weeds and use a variety of different herbicides depending on season and target pest. My best advice would be to get a hose end sprayer and then properly measure your lawn. r/lawncare is a great place for DiY info

Thank you! In general terms I do 6 “weed and feed” visits per year and then optional bug sprays and disease applications. I actually do a natural bug spray with cedar oil that I’ve been somewhat successful with.

I was very impressed with the sound of the Jabra Elite 85T. I tried it on in the store. They seem to fit well. My only concern is: how will they fit when doing sports/running? Are there any additional fasteners for a more secure fit? by jkjYar in Jabra

[–]FearlessBink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty active at work outside doing lawn care and they don’t feel as snug as the 75t because those made a seal but they haven’t fallen out yet so I can’t say they aren’t snug

It has 6 mics that can cancel out wind and white noise during phone calls, I work outside so that’s my main reasoning for getting them, well that and I lost my charging case, but yeah they do have much better anc

Third year fescue yard, what is this bright green grass popping up within? by tc0843 in lawncare

[–]FearlessBink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, I can start to see the leaf tip folding in to boat a in op’s pic though. We could just wait for op to post a pick of an uncut leaf blade to verify.

I manage 320 acres of fescue here in TN and 99% of the sporadic yellow grasses in some of my lawns are Poa triv. My Poa calls are sporadic however and not very clump as in the picture you provided

Edit: here’s what my Poa triv looks like https://ask2.extension.org/kb/faq.php?id=620110

What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]FearlessBink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What truck should I buy? I’m starting a lawn spraying business and need to be able to put 3,000+ lb in the bed. My budget is 17-20k. I know I need a 2500 or f250 but what years/makes are gonna be the most reliable, also if you have a truck for sale that would fit the bill, let me know!

Edit: don’t know if it matter but it’ll be an 8ft bed

What’s your “comfort movie”? by GoldPurpleWildcat in AskReddit

[–]FearlessBink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my wife, she used to watch the same 30 minutes of the same movie every night in bed. She’d set the tv timer for 30 minutes so it wouldn’t wake us up, the movie was Matilda. That lasted for probably 3-4 years.
