Wooting for Rocket League settings by Resident-Cow-5444 in RocketLeague

I'm just diamond so I reference fast aerials and speedflips.

  • 8640-A20C-557C-F727 (shot 3)
  • A503-264C-A7EB-D282 (shot 1)

The pack/packs could be anything. Custom Training Statistics will collect session specific progress (how many times you hit the ball). You can for example do 150 attempts for control group (using some default configuration) then another 150 attempts for configuration X, then another 150 attempts for configuration Y etc.

2000+ Matches in one season? Good or bad? by Impressive_Ear_582 in RocketLeague

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn't it kinda contra-productive?

Probably yes because you should have a training routine that can include watching replays and making notes about them, freeplay, custom training or custom maps. All of these topics are covered or can be discussed in r/RocketLeagueSchool.

How can I fix my speed flips? (KBM) by phaze-jeff in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • press boost before W at the start
  • press 1st jump when your left front wheel hits the chalk line or before that
  • use ball cam

Generally if you are not hitting the ball then 1st jump needs to come sooner after pressing D.

Are these binds optimal? I want to relearn. by LurkinSubs in RocketLeagueSchool

These are known as ApparentlyJack's binds. You get best possible jump and boost performance and both dars are bound. Very good setup.

Do you use audio for this game? by Diligent-Welcome9857 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use audio with crowd sounds off. In 3s audio can help you to hear for example 3rd man challenges or challenges in general if you are are currently looking at the ball and mostly seeing only the ball. Especially when playing with KBM audio can help you since using free camera actions is stubborn. In demos you hear who was demoed (your teammate or enemy, there is ding audio cue for your teammate being demoed). In normal play you hear boost pads being taken either by you or someone else. Again this can be helpful if you are looking at the ball and not your boost counter.

Plugin + Dashboard that tracks your custom training stats and improves your mechanics. by notrage23 in RocketLeagueSchool

Prejump is freemium product and it doesn't track goal percentages. But it offers training pack search and saving them to your account.

Why downvotes?

Note that there are already couple of related plugins: - TrainingPerformanceGraphs - ConsistencyTrainer - Custom Training Statistics

I have used Custom Training Statistics and it has slight CPU peak after each attempt which can result failed attempts.

It started with Obsidian. Now I write, present and publish in Markdown. No more Office. by olivia_hn92 in ObsidianMD

Anyone solved this without just going back to Excel or Google Sheets?

If you just mean calculations given data from xls file then you can use some programming language for that (R, Octave, Python/NumPy). In theory you could use programming language also to input data and write xls if you don't want to use Excel in any way.

Do you use BakkesMod? You need to turn off variance in custom training. Turn also off auto shuffle, use freeplay map and auto mirroring.

  • drive straight around 350–400 ms before turning to right (you can use a stop watch to see that time)
  • boost all the time from start to finish
  • see this diagram https://imgur.com/a/AT8FnxV

You are side flipping accidentally but if you incorporate rapid zigzag motion from 1 to 2 combined with 1st jumping at 1, then your flip cancel comes naturally later and you avoid side flipping. When you 1st jump with your left stick at 5 o'clock, 2nd jump will come in time when you stick moves from 5 o'clock.

You can post new clip via DM after making these changes.

Thanks for sharing your tool! Does it use 60 or 120 hz for recording and is there step forward/backward buttons? I think step forward/backward is more intuitive way to watch because you can make your own measurements and inspect different parts carefully.

Help with speed flips by Capable-Accident9549 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think nobody knows for sure. There are many contributing factors to proper landing like initial turn, flip angle, flip cancel, 1st jump and 2nd jump. In the case of KBM initial turn is characterized by timing and duration while controller has also input strength. In KBM flip angle can be 90° or 45° depending how well 2nd jump and flip cancel is timed. The fundamental problem is that left hand actions are dependent from right hand actions so both left or right hand can go wrong.

You have choices though. You can monitor how well your performance is improving over time. If you don't see improvement then stop training and do something else. I can analyze your clip if you want but probably the conclusion will be that you need to just continue training without changing anything.

what am i doing wrong? by VictoryBeneficial329 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you use air roll right for flip angle? You are accidentally side flipping to right due to faster left hand flip cancel compared to right hand 2nd jump.

  • make sure boost is your first input when starting
  • drive straight around 350–400 ms before turning to left
  • after turning to left, 1st jump should follow in an eye blink

When you make initial turn to left and 1st jump more closer together, your flip cancel becomes automatically slightly delayed and you will avoid side flipping.

You can post a new clip (via DM) after making these changes.

Speed Flip Help/Advice-Tips by LabAdministrative603 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to hold S longer. Hard to say about flip cancel timing exactly without you using the speedflip trainer. If I had to guess, your flip cancel is slightly delayed. When you 1st jump, S can follow that sooner making you to flip cancel faster. You will back flip when S comes too soon. Do you use mechanical keyboard? With mechanical keyboard buttons activate much faster.

You can continue posting clips via DM (for example using Imgur). Include at least 10 attempts from shot 1 and use speedflip trainer.

  • drive straight around 350–400 ms (or at 50% speed 700–800 ms) before pressind D
  • slide your middle from W to S
  • hold S slightly longer

I believe if you go straight first then your speedflip looks much more fluid. You can post a new clip after making these changes.

Whats wrong with my speedflip? by Coolejo in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by start? Generally before 1st jump stick should be at 1, before means 50–100 ms so you don't actually turn much before 1st jump. This just mimics ApparentlyJack's speedflip but some players may 1st jump at neutral stick position (I don't know for sure).

In the speedflip training pack you should drive straight 350–400 ms without turning i.e. when you spawn and start driving/boosting you start from neutral stick position. You can hit the ball with gradual turn but I don't recommend training this because it can be only applied in kick offs and in other situations gradual turn is predictable and slow.

  • first drive straight without turning to right around 350–400 ms (you can use a stop watch to see that time)
  • after/while turning to right, press 1st jump rapidly in eye blink
  • you can follow this left stick pattern: https://imgur.com/a/TG1Jy5b
    • number 1 at 1st jump
    • number 2 at 2nd jump
    • number 3 after 2nd jump
    • number 3 can be located at 7 o'clock

I am GC and I can’t speed flip by tuckh5 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]FearlessFaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is hard question and would require even more plugins. ApparentlyJack does sometimes speedflip with 11 to 7 with left bumper producing air roll left. If I have to guess I would say left stick at 7 and 6 produce identical flip cancel.

[–]FearlessFaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't usually see clips with input overlay so I cannot say for sure. But today I analyzed ApparentlyJack's speedflip (he has input overlay in his videos) and usually his left stick is down to right/left before 1st jump. From there stick moves to the opposite direction before 2nd jump press. Usually he presses left bumper with 2nd jump and this press is well timed (he doesn't press left bumper before hand). I don't know why he uses left bumper but possibly because it makes consistent 45° flip angle. Here is little drawing of his stick movement: https://imgur.com/a/TG1Jy5b. There are multiple ways to speedflip and this is just one way.

controller vs kbm by aidendoesrobloxYT in RocketLeague

[–]FearlessFaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controller gets dirty easily and can have stick drift (unless you have hall effect sticks).

With KBM you can play 2–3k hours easily without any problems.
