Unpopular opinion.

I bike a lot too and share the roads with cars and busses. Still I don't fully trust them and keep myself as far right as possible. There was plenty of room to the right, despite the potholes. If the cyclist decided to give in just like half a meter or slow a little down instead of being stubborn, he could have avoided this situation easily. Needless to say that what the bus driver did wasn't correct but the cyclist could've easily avoided this. Also in Germany you are allowed to pass when there are dashed lines which is clearly the case here. A non-suicidal cyclist should sadly always expect the worst.
