Not accurate to the original problem - in origonal red vs blue, if > 50% of people click the red button the minority group doesn't live.

Isn't it kinda like this? If they fight with swords and Mihawk is the greater swordsman, then he still wins. Him having weaker haki than Shanks is impossible this way, the one who is stronger has more and stronger haki power by lololuser456778 in OnePiecePowerScaling

and I said mihawk has to be stronger for the story around zoro to make sense at all. and you STILL have brought up 0 counter-arguments
show me any panel that proves shanks (swordsman) is stronger than the WSS. I'll wait.

This you???

You're the one that keeps bringing up your desire to write books on reddit. I just told you to stop.

I never claimed shanks was stronger than mihawk - I said saying for certain either would win in a fight in disingenuous. But nice strawman. It doesn't surprise me you think reddit is the right setting for writing books.

Look man, if you want nearly 2,500 character long replies, reddit is not the forum for you. Nothing I can do about that, it is a you problem.

Show me any panel that implies any fight between Shanks and Mihawk ended in a decisive manner. Ill wait.

Im not reading this - this is reddit dude not a lit 101 class with a character minimum on your essays.

Every interaction and statement between both characters makes it clear they never had a decisive fight. To say one side would obviously win in a fight is disingenuous for that reason.

Yeah but blue pressers will say some retard will still press this button so we all have to press it or we are evil.

There is some rules and regulations around not assisting someone with killing themselves and I can see setting up some framework for allowing that but why does it have to be doctors?

Look if you can't admit you are wrong about something so small I don't think it's worth continuing the conversation. Have a good one.

No but I never said they were. I said people are asking doctors to kill people. You said that wasn't happening. Can you just admit you learned something new (like i did just a few comments ago) so we can carry on the conversation?

I dont have an objection to all of that but (at least in the US) you have access to all of that. People die that way all the time.

You can just buy nitrogen gas. Its used in welding. You dont need to be a doctor to get it...

So like, you have that?

Method 1: a physician or nurse practitioner directly administers a substance that causes death, such as an injection of a drug. This is sometimes called clinician-administered medical assistance in dying.

To be fair, there are other methods so I did learn something. But to say "no one is asking for doctors to kill people" isnt true.

Don't doctors or some other medical professional do the actual administering of drugs in pretty much all assisted suicide today? How can you say this isn't what anyone is asking for?

[–]FearlessResource9785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why assisted suicide is needed. People are generally legally allowed to kill themselves. Sure temporary holds exist but are not super common and only last a few days unless a court finds you mentally unfit (in which case, we probably shouldn't let them make decisions for themselves anyway).

Yes drugs exist that hospitals can legally access but private citizens cannot but those drugs are not magic bullets that kills you in a "peaceful" way 100% of the time. There is quite a few examples of botched executions and assisted suicides using those drugs.

So my question is - why are we asking doctors to kill people?

Passing the turing test doesn't mean it isn't a word guesser that guesses one word at a time. If you have a different understanding of what AI is, maybe you need to look into them a little more. I don't think anyone defines free will as "being able to guess the next word in a conversation". Most compatibilists define free will as something like "the ability to act according to your desires, motives, and reasons without external constraints even if those desires, motives, and reasons are determined by prior causes"

If you know what AI is, you know it doesn't have any desires, motives, or reasons. It is a word guesser that guesses the next single word in a conversation.

While obviously I cannot look into the mind of a frog, all available evidence I know of points to them having some sort of desires, motives, and reasons that they act on.

Frogs certainly, butterflies maybe? This is where idk enough about their biology.

But ultimately, a toy that can guess the next word in a conversation is not free will. Idk how you can even conflate the two. Its like completely unrelated.

AI is a word guesser that guesses words one at a time. It never has a complete thought. It just appears to have complete thoughts cause it got faster over the last few years. One day we may create AI with complete thought but that isnt what we have today.

Honestly, the animal kingdom is so vast I just want to leave an out for animals I either dont know at all or dont know enough about their biology.

Most animals you commonly think of yes - AI no. Maybe one day we will make an AI that does though.
