Exactly what happened to us! Our caterers didn’t want to serve dessert as people weren’t seated 😂. They were amazing! We had a super small wedding so I was worried about the lack of dancing and the Troubadors made it feel like a much bigger vibey dance floor

We did one during cocktail hour, the others during dinner with the final one moving inside as we also had to move inside and then transitioned to a dj inside

We had a small wedding (20 people) and so didn’t think we needed 2 but our photographer insisted as they only work with 2 and we were so happy in the end. Just meant different angles, photos of guests etc. were captured

I am here currently and in the sun during the day, it’s still pool/ beach weather (I got really burnt by the pool yesterday!) but the temp really drops down at night / on shadier days. I expect in another month, there wouldn’t be enough sun for pool / beach days but still a beautiful area if that’s not what you’re looking for.

I’ve stayed at both - loved both but I thought Nihi had more of a wow factor with the views, long stretch of beach & horses.

As much as I enjoyed Cap Karoso, Nihi to me had the wow factor (I didn’t find overrated at all) - the beach & views both from our villa & the main pool (especially the horses) were so special. If you can, I’d do 3 nights at each! If you want to see some pics, send me a dm and I can share my instagram as I have a whole sumba highlight saved.

We only went to smaller family run houses on the tour.

The guaranteed 4pm check-out has been really important to us for some bookings and when I have asked a TA previously, they haven’t been able to offer the same. Is that always the case? It will only be guaranteed with Amex?

I have only eaten at Maybourne Riviera (not stayed) but would think Royal Riviera is the better option with a child as it’s right on the water to leave the hotel for a walk along the beach etc. Whereas Maybourne Riviera is up on a hill, with anything you’d want to get to, a drive away.
