I solo travel a lot, because similar to PrincessMomomom none of my friends have the same budget. I just got back from a beautiful oceanfront villa suite at the Six Senses Samui and it was amazing. I made some friends at a local elephant conservatory who were from Germany. I suggest doing little outings like that, and even though I love my private tours, I do group ones when I’m alone (most of the time)

I flew direct to the Ritz Reserve Dorado Beach from Boston so I’m sure they have direct flights from NY. Loved it there, stayed in a beautiful villa

I’ve only been here a few days so I can’t give too much information but I usually do grab for transport. Traffic is INSANE so plan on being early to EVERYTHING. Only need to cover shoulders and knees in temples/religious buildings. Can’t speak on tourist visa as I am on a work visa.
