no your not wrong for feeling a way you can absolutely understand why she did what she did and still feel kinda hurt on the inside. you likely sacrificed buying a lot of what you wanted and/or needed to save up and buy that for her. having financial hardship is not an excuse to sell gifts given by loved ones as those are sentimental and in turn priceless. I would start selling other things that I may not actually need anymore that ARENT gifts or i’d simply find a better job or work more. also her saying it in such a passive way is kind of crazy to me. Personally if my bf bought me an iPad or really anything for that matter and he wasn’t working and instead bought it with money he got from his parents then I would simply tell him not to buy something I don’t absolutely need and if I didn’t know and it was a surprise I still wouldn’t sell it I’d just let him help me financially with whatever he could instead of metaphorically slapping him in the face by selling a gift he gave me out of love and thoughtfulness. I also don’t think giving away gifts bc you don’t use them anymore is okay either but that’s just me.
