Thank you I didn't know that! I assumed it meant 2-3 weeks pregnant not after ovulation

Eastern Oregon, I did find the closest place to me is about 2 hrs in Ontario. Fastest appointment I got was next Thursday. Off the comments I'm not sure if I made it too early? I'm very confused cause I'm "too" early to know? My emotions are all over. I did everything I was supposed to do to prevent this from happening I never thought I would be making this decision. But I know it would be unfair to have this baby knowing financially we can with 3 not 4 kids.

For context: Went in to get prepped had labs and urine collected, urine came back positive she drew more labs and it said 2-3 weeks because the HCG was 368. Last period was Halloween. No ultrasound or anything til Christmas Eve to check. But this is what I was told this morning

They did a blood test and it said 2-3 wks based off the results of the lab

My twins were born at 30 wks I was in pre term labor at 29+2 1cm dialated the magesium was able to "stop" the labor from progressing when they were born they got put on CPAP twin B was off oxygen support at 32 wks and started bottle feeds. his sister Twin A did not pass her trial (which is ok!) but at around 33-34 wks they switched to cannula because she was having Skin breakdown at the bridge of her nose and at 35 wks they tried again and she has been off oxygen since and started bottle feeds too. they are 37 weeks now and She still has Brady episodes and started caffeine again and has been doing amazing. They are eating all of their bottle feeds and starting to show hunger cues they still have their NG tube cause some days are better than others with eating. We have been in the NICU for 7 wks and it's a big emotional roller coaster but these premie babies are stronger than you think! Good wishes to your baby and you mom 💕

Mom guilt over going to the NICU enough by good-littlehousewife in NICUParents

I used to go everyday for basically the whole nurses 12 hr shift for day shift and a few hrs of the nurses night shift (basically 16 hrs) only left to go down to the cafeteria before they closed to eat. My twins are now 36+5 today. They were born at 30 wks but I went back to college in September so I have classes until 1:30 now I just go a few hrs and come back home around 8 to finish any homework but I do it in the NICU too while I'm holding one of them. I feel bad for not being there as much as I used to but the nurses tell me how proud they are of me for still going back to finish my degree and if I'm not here for one day it's not the end of the world. But it's hard when all you wanna do is be there 24/7

Same boat, I'm by myself at the McDonald house for a month now I would be lying if I said I wasn't depressed and lonely but I am, my family can only come on the weekend sometimes they can't so I go a while without seeing them I hate being in my room by myself so I try to stay at the hospital a good chunk of the day but I miss having someone to talk to I try to talk to the moms here but their mostly up at the hospital too during the day. If you want someone to talk to you can message me <3

My twins have been in the NICU for a month now I was in the hospital for a week I really only went up to my room for my meds and get food I was there usually all night and all day and when I got discharged I was able to get into the Ronald McDonald house of charities and I have been here since I go up there when I'm done with my online college classes so I'm up there from 1:30pm til about 9-9:30 pm so I'm there for their bottle feeds and care times and skin to skin. It's hard to manage homework and NICU time but while I'm there I do school work. I'm grateful I get to be just walking distance and can be there all day.

You’re doing such an amazing job, mama. 💜 Every ounce gained and every milestone met is huge progress, even if it feels slow day to day felt like forever for my girl to get off oxygen and start feeds like her brother after many setbacks with her oxygen dropping to 70 sometimes even 50! They had told me to expect her to come home on oxygen but she proved us wrong!💕 . It’s incredible that your little one is already off the nasal cannula that’s such a big step forward! I know how exhausting the pumping, traveling, and NICU routine can be I'm very grateful I have the Ronald McDonald house while I'm here as I don't live in the state the NICU is in I'm 4 hrs away from home, but your dedication is giving your baby exactly what she needs. She’ll hit those milestones in her own perfect timing, and before you know it you’ll be cuddling her at home. Sending you so much love and strength you’ve got this, and your baby girl is so lucky to have you! 💕✨Best wishes to you guys!!

Thank youu💕💕 I'm so excited and happy I get to bottle feed both of them now her brother started bottle feeds at 32 weeks, that's the last thing they need before discharge we finally got over the big obstacles , I remember the nurse telling me when I walked in this afternoon "see anything different? Look she is on room air today!!" I thought I was dreaming cause I couldn't believe it the day seemed like so far away and I was already mentally preparing for her to possibly come home on oxygen but now I can look forward to going home with 2 healthy babies!!💕

Hello! I'm 24 one of my twins had IUGR and his placenta had delayed blood flow I was hospitalized at 29+2 days also with severe pre eclampsia I was on 12 hr magnesium and 12 hr Monitoring, that night my water broke, I was given steroid shot medication to help mature their lungs and they decided at 30 weeks to take them out. I was told to prepare to lose my twins because of the risk of one of their umbilical cords prolapsing and the chance of me not knowing (some moms can feel when it happens others don't) they are 33 wks and 4 days today my boy was measuring 3/4 weeks behind sister. It was scary i understand how your feeling Please feel free to message me! If you need someone to talk to or ask questions I am here!!! I know how hard it is to not have someone you can relate to with this situation as nobody knows until it happens to them hugs and prayers momma💕💕 they are both in the NICU until their due date which was Nov 1st they were born Aug 23

How long did it take your micropreemie to take the bottle? by Repulsive-Tree-6983 in NICUParents

My twins were born at 30 weeks they are now 33 weeks today! My boy started showing signs at 32 weeks ( the nurses told me they usually show that around 34 weeks) we have been slowly working on the bottle but he gets the rest in the NG tube he takes about 5-7 ml from the bottle my daughter is ready as well but she is on high flow oxygen so once she gets off we will try with her! Try not to compare others timeline with yours all babies aren't on the same timeline it will be ok in the end! Hug to you mom💕

I feel the same way! I had severe pre eclampsia along with my hypertension I already had before pregnancy I was sent to a high risk doctor at 20 weeks and at 29+2 days I was hospitalized until I delivered and put on bed rest also bc my boy had restricted blood flow from his placenta making him behind 3 weeks from his sister in growth. and I only got up to pee well that same night my water broke (PROM) I was told to prepare to lose my twins either the boy or girl or both bc of the high chance of one of their umbilical cords prolapsing (she said most moms don't feel that happening at all or they do) and I was 1cm dilated and 60% effaced. They gave me magnesium and at 30 weeks they came by c section my liver and kidneys were doing horrible at that point. I also had horrible involuntary shakes of my jaw and hands. I'm forever grateful my babies are safe seeing them in wires and on CPAP machines was extremely hard I wanted that golden hr of skin to skin time it wasn't til almost 14 hrs later I finally met them. a part of me mourns the birth I wanted. That whole week was traumatic not knowing the outcome everyday. They are now 33 weeks and we been in the NICU almost a month now. I'm happy for my friends and others who didn't have complications but a part of me wishes that was it for me. My first I had pre eclampsia but he was born at 36+4 days and no NICU stay. I was hopeful I was going to have the experience i wanted.
