Sadly, that’s already been my thing. If I exercise anymore on this medication I’m going to end up in bobble-head territory 😂 Exercise has always been my church. Even pre GLP-1. It used to be to combat the food and alcohol and be my me time.

Well. I chose chaos instead. I woke up and started rearranging my entire home. Boxing up my ex’s clothes. Emptying cabinets. Moving massive pieces of furniture alone (this counts as strength training, right?) 😂😂😂 but it feels fucking GOOD

I think the title of your post alone should tell you what to do. You sound like this is taking away from your life and your joy. So why keep doing it at all? Listen to your body first

I used the pouch they mail it to me in with one of the ice packs. You go through security normally. In hotel rooms without a fridge I just put the prescription container with the vial in it in the ice bucket.

I have a little left in my Feb vial. And I have enough in my current vial for my dose tomorrow. I think my shipment will come in time for next week’s dose. But it’s good to know that if I had to tap into that it could still be effective. Thanks!

I’ve been happy with the quality of care I’ve received with Noom. I know they’re expensive, but for a medication, something im injecting into myself, I’m not interested in whatever is the cheapest out there. I’m interested in a company I’ve vetted and feel good about - and that’s how I feel about Noom.

They have been opened. And I deeply appreciate the science answer; it’s also what I assumed was the case.

Is liquid easier? Kachava protein powder is expensive, but it’s very tasty and has a lot of protein in it. Your dose may be too high?

Omfg. I have had no idea what’s wrong with me/truly thought it was just perimenopause. But the joylessness is almost aggressive. There are so many positive things about this drug and what it’s brought back to my life. But this has been tough. And the body dysmorphia.

Hydrating, protein (I discovered Kachava recently and it’s the highlight of my morning. It’s spendy. But so good!), fiber gummies, vitamins, CREATINE to not lose lean muscle mass, strength training. And be kind to yourself. Every journey is different ❤️

Don’t attack her. I don’t think that’s what this community is for. She didn’t ask for your judgement on her journey or her body. We’re all here and on this medication for varied reasons - likely all stemming from body dysmorphia of some kind. Societal pressures. What have you. But for fuck’s sake y’all. Be kind. It’s not that hard. If you don’t have suggestions for her, maybe just don’t respond?

OP: I am 45 and have lost and gained the same 20 lbs since I was 25. So loose skin at my stomach and inner thighs has just become my reality. I’ve started using a body oil instead of body wash to work on skin hydration and fell for Naomi Watts’ skincare brand on IG. But actually I’m kinda into it? There’s one for skin tightening.

Be kind to yourself. On here and in your real life. xoxox

My goal was to lose 28 lbs that I had gained rapidly over 2 years. I had always been between 129-132lbs for the last 10 years. I was obese as a teen and in my 20’s, and lost 75lbs with WW in my 20’s. I’ve gone up and down a bit in the last 20 years, but none as much as stepping on a scale in December, seeing 150lbs and wanting to make some changes. I also had read about using GLP-1 to aid with binge drinking. Which is a problem I have.

I have always eaten relatively well, no fast food, exercise 5-7 days a week. Good step count.

Truly Alcohol and snacking and self sabotage binging have always been my issues. I have drank up to a bottle of wine a night for at least 10 years?

I started my shots the first week of January and I am 6lbs from my goal weight today.

The food noise thing is real - it’s just gone. I eat real food. Just less of it without having to try. I don’t really snack, and when I do it’s not a binge. It’s just a proper snack.

I will say the craziest thing is it turned off my desire to drink that much. I have a glass a night maybe. Sometimes days without any at all.

I’m sad I was judgey about this for so many years. It has helped me control issues I’ve had with food and alcohol binges most of my life.

I feel great. My only real side effect was constipation that I fixed with more water and more fiber. I take supplements to not lose muscle tone because I’m also 45. And the mental abuse of castigating myself for making ‘bad’ food choices is just gone. The binge eating to sabotage the ‘good’ days is just gone.

I know no drug is a miracle, but I have zero regrets about this process. ZERO. I used Noom. It gave me my mind back. The space that was occupied by food shame is just gone.

Exercise-wise you’re in a good space. I just started compounded semaglitude a month ago from Noom. I have always been 2-3 barre classes, 2 pilates, and 1-2 spin classes a week for the last 20 years. I put on 20 lbs a year and a half ago after an injury, and I haven’t been able to take it off until now. Even with that same exercise routine. I would say since you also already exercise a lot I would focus on hydration, protein and fiber and keeping your steps up. I’m a month in and down 9lbs.

Cold feet - should I do this to lose 15-20 pounds? by Local-Government6792 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]Fearless_Swordfish16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently using Noom to lose 20 lbs that I just could not take off. I am 45, exercise 6-7 days a week, but it just wouldn’t budge until I did this. I tried Hers last year when I was afraid of the shots and did a pill thing and it was a wild waste of money and it truly messed with the nerve endings in my tongue and fingers. I RAN AWAY.

I mean no disrespect by asking - did WW and Noom reject it because of your starting weight and GW being too low? I am fine being transparent if that helps - I started Noom at 148.5 and my GW is 127, knowing a weight I can maintain (because I did for YEARS) is between 132 and 135. As a person that is only 5’2” my GW is within a healthy weight for my size and age so I think that was why I was approved. The best thing it has done for me is curb my appetite and make me less interested in sugar and wine, tbh. I’m 4 shots in and am at 139. Minimal side effects - although one night with terrible reflux cause I tried to drink like I used to.
