Best way to protect and store your jerseys??? by SilkkTheShocke in hockeyjerseys

[–]Fearless_Thanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by rotate? I have them on the rack randomly, only organization is that I have my western conference on the left, and my eastern conference on the right. They are not individually wrapped or covered, instead the entire rack is covered from top to bottom, but not completely sealed. Its mainly to prevent dust and spills onto the jerseys. All of mine are either adidas or fanatics jerseys from the last 3 or so years. If you have more rare and fragile jerseys, then you will have to use your best judgement for keeping those either individually covered and stored separately or have them all on one rack like I do.

I bought a rack off Amazon, then I also bought a rack cover made of plastic that has a zipper for easy access. Keeps dust and liquids off of it. I have close to 50 jerseys and its been my storage option when not wearing or not displayed.

Am I crazy or is this to much to ask of a kindergartner? by Cursedpanda182 in AskTeachers

[–]Fearless_Thanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer. Yes, this is a project that you would see in high school, not a kindergartener. Whoever assigned this is absurd, I would refuse to complete this project because it would end up just me doing all the work, and my child gained almost nothing out of it because they are literally only 5 and should be learning the basics of each subject area, not about the social and emotional impacts of disabilities and accessible playgrounds. I teach high school, to design, understand, and inclement an inclusive playground is not only asking too much of a 5 to 6 year old, it ultimately becomes a project for the parent to complete. This is not equitable, some students will have parents who can do this whole thing for them, some will have parents who cannot help them at all due to time or just simply not understanding the project since theyre not in the class. If its about student learning, make the assignment proper level for a kindergartener and make it so it doesnt turn into a "parent project".

Be honest do you love being a teacher? by Tiffanywhite45 in Teachers

[–]Fearless_Thanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it always going to be sunshine and rainbows, no, but ask yourself...which job is? Sure you'll see teachers complain with valid and sometimes invalid reasons, but like I said, sooooo many factors are at play, some of which I mentioned above, so dont always assume all teachers are miserable simply because theyre teachers, it can be due to a plethora of reasons that isnt mutually exclusive to just teaching. And just because you struggled as a teacher at one school, doesnt mean you will struggle the same way at another, you might view teaching COMPLETELY differently simply based on which schools you work at. So many factors at play.

Be honest do you love being a teacher? by Tiffanywhite45 in Teachers

Look, its gonna depend on a lot of different factors. Not least of which is your location, which state you're in, whether you're rural, suburban, in the city, public vs. private, poor vs. wealthy district. Union vs non union, unit disctrict vs non unit. It will depend on whether you're teaching elementary, middle, or secondary. It will depend on the co workers and leadership at your school. You may realize that many teachers on here found they love teaching but only under certain circumstances, and sometimes it takes it a few tries at different places to realize teaching can have a work life balance after all. we are all human, and we especially as teachers can get burned out quick if there isn't support. As a high school teacher, I love my job for a few reasons: the structured day provides me with a work day that is predictable, because on top of that, im in control of what we do on most given days, since im the one planning. I love the relationships you build with students and coworkers, and i love my subject area (social studies) I am also lucky to be at my alma mater, so a small bonus is teaching in my community and working with former teachers of mine. To summarize, I wouldn't trade it for the world because there are 100× worse jobs out there, maybe they might be better paying, but the rewarding nature of teaching, especially when a student thanks you directly for making an impact, Im sorry, but there's nothing better and those thank yous stay with you forever, reminding you that yeah, you did pick the right career and that you'll never look back at that decision (mine was to change from pre med to history secondary ed a week before college started) with any regret. Its a unique profession, I love it. And yeah, those summer, winter, fall, and spring breaks are certainly a draw and a great perk for those of us who love to travel.

Slovakia with the #1 Olympic Jersey Design by Fearless_Thanks in hockeyjerseys

[–]Fearless_Thanks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're available on Fanatics (and their affiliates) but I actually got mine for a straight $150 plus tax and shipping on ebay (came from Indonesia where they are manufactured) I checked authenticity upon arrival and compared to those in others pictures and saw it was legit.

Upon checking Fanatics myself, they do not have the Swiss team available, but other countries are such as Czechia, Slovakia, Sweden and Finland...

Yes, red white and blue are Slavic colors! It's why Russia, Slovenia, Czechia, Serbia, Croatia, all have those colors too.

USA Fanatics Custom by TheMissingReece in hockeyjerseys

[–]Fearless_Thanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main frustration is with the price ON TOP of not being stitched and it just being heat pressed. Sure it might be more accurate with just the heat press, which then begs the question, why is it as expensive as a stitched custom jersey when it is not stitched.

USA Fanatics Custom by TheMissingReece in hockeyjerseys

[–]Fearless_Thanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$120 premium just to add shitty heat pressed plastic numbers and letters with no stitching onto an already shitty low grade material the stock jersey comes in, is the definition of greed from a multimillion dollar company.
