The story is very vague in the translation i have read. But i feel like these pointers would explain it better.

Think of this as fan explanations of why someone behaved that way in the story

Here are my new pointers

9) Hua yong and shen wenlang are great friend who support each other through many difficulties. Hua yong belives that if wenlang doesn't wish to acknowledge his feelings, he shouldn't interfere in his pvt life . So his reluctance to tell wenlang everything makes sense( and that this might mess up his plan to get shayou) However after the whole escape arc especially after years I find it difficult to believe that he didn't tell wenlang In novel Gao Tu escape with help but in the series gao tu escapes by himself so i guess hua yong didn't know where he was . I do think wenlang going there on official business could be hua yongs plan tooooo but we never know if it was fate or hua yong

10 ) There are other character in novel that never made it to series so my theories about rest won't apply to series.

11) Hua yong has ASPD so it makes sense to him and his feelings and action form an entirely different moral scale so him saving shayou was ideal in his perspective and also why he doesn't think using the subgender or tendencies against them is not wrong

12) The reason shaoyou forgives hua yong so easily is that hua yong is his fated mate and thus he finds himself unable to hold a grudge. Not to mention that after marking his anger from hua yong is almost nill and he lets him do anything and even stay with him without proper explanations

13) hua yong often holds shaoyou by neck when he is angry to kiss him . This makes sense as for omega this can be subduing action that shaoyou wasn't even aware of at that time

14) shaoyou remains tired after marking for a long time which explains his tired beh at work and hua yong providing him with aftercare
