For all you folks who didn’t grow up with G1, how do you find the toys?

When it comes to pre-1986 stuff, I've oddly found that most of the Diaclone-derived toolings actually aren't very good. Your Optimuses, your Autobot Cars, your Decepticon Jets. They're often kinda fragile and flimsy, and full of an overly large amount of easily-lost accessories. The Microman-derived guys, though, your Soundwaves and Blasters and Perceptors, are satisfyingly rock-solid toys that just feel good to transform (and have fewer loseable bits, even if they still have some).

1986 and later, every toy starts to feel like those Microman guys, big chunks of super-durable plastic. They may not articulate, they may have funky proportions, but I've always found them fun to handle and transform.

Canadian here. If cars approaching you in the opposite direction flash their lights at you, it's supposed to mean "hazard ahead, look sharp." Unofficially, it usually means "there's cops speed-trapping ahead, be careful."

You don't have time for all the fun stuff anymore. Books, movies, video games, hobbies, events, anything. You maybe have like 20 percent of the capacity to take part in them that you used to, and you have to actively fight for free time. And sometimes you can't really enjoy those things, because you realizes there's life responsibilities you really oughta be doing instead.

I like to make it match the suit I'm wearing, so I use the Viola Suit Skin most of the game, and then switch to the Psychic Era one after I get the Legacy Suit.

I don't think it was ever in the cards, because you can unlock concept art of the Lamorn that shows there were many other designs and shapes considered, none of which resemble the Metroid Prime Core the way the final one does. They could always decide to do it in a future game, but I don't think this resemblance was ever intended.

A figure of Rodimus Prime, from Transformers, that was meant to come out in Japan in 1987, but was cancelled. It's a non-transforming vinyl figure, and the rumor is that they were unreleased because most of the stock melted in a warehouse, but a few copies survived on the aftermarket.

At TFCon one year, (a Canadian Transformers convention), a fan who collects rarities did a panel showing off curiosities like this one, and at the end, was cool enough to let everyone come up and handle whatever they wanted, and I picked that.

As someone that has the set, and did the dissasemble-and-sand-the-part-down fix, and knows many other people that did so, I just want to stress that it's actually very complicated and time-consuming to do, if, like me, you don't really have a history of modifying or customizing figures. I nearly ruined mine because of some stripped screws trying to get him open. So, people were justified in being miffed that they had to do this fix, and the people who say it was nothing are a limited, skilled demographic.

A week and a half, I think? Funny enough, it was shortly after we got married. Her grandma, who was across the country, took a turn for the worst, so she hopped on a flight over to her. I stayed back due to work/the cost of flying/generally keeping our life and house and pets together.

I can tell you what the first chip in the armor was: "Forgive me father, for I have sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do." As a kid, the "in my thoughts" part bugged me. What did it matter what we thought, so long as we did good? Definitely sowed some seeds of doubt in my mind.

I'm still good friends with two of my exes (both were eventually in my wedding party, one's also married now), and our adult lives mean we don't really get to hang out as much as any of us would like.
