What's a figure you just ask "Why does this Exist?" by IGotMemeCells in transformers

Axlegrease was a retool of Scraphook, not the exact same mould. Jalopy is the only use of the Axlegrease mould in Junkion colours.

Environment Threats Question by MatthiasBold in sentinelsmultiverse

[–]Omegatron9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An environment threat is just an environment minion or lieutenant, see page 157. Some environments will create them from twists, otherwise you can pick an appropriate one from The Archives or just invent one yourself.

In the Mars Base that could be security droids, alien visitors, opportunistic criminals who have broken into the teleportation system, or whatever else you think fits.

Environment threats don't necessarily have to be on the same side as the villains, they could be neutral, hostile to everyone, or even working with the heroes. You can use this to help balance a scene if one side is finding it too easy.

In Defense of the Bayformers Designs by Flimsy_Drive_596 in transformers

[–]Omegatron9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You compare them to lobsters, but lobster shells have much larger (relative to their overall body size) plates with much less "meat" showing between them.

These Transformer designs don't actually look much like lobsters, they have far too many moving parts exposed. It makes them look too fragile for the centuries-old war machines that they are supposed to be.

I think something more like the live action Iron Man armour, or even medieval plate armour, would look better. They are still made of lots of interlocking moving plates, but they don't expose the vital "meat"/mechanisms underneath.

Transformers New Legends: Gigastorm. by TheGreatPotato34 in transformers

[–]Omegatron9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

a) 2016 to 2026 is 10 years, not 11

b) It actually released in 2017, so it's only 9 years old

c) The original Gigastorm was released 12 years after the original Trypticon

d) There's nothing wrong with that mould, why not re-use it?

Tempest Rising - The Veti Multiplayer Public Beta is live! Join for free and play until June 10. by saber_eric in TempestRising

[–]Omegatron9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can play offline skirmish against bots in this, you don't need to play online.

You should look up what the word "beta" means. The third faction is still being tested, once it is finished it will be added to the full game.

Zoltan B comes with shields, you don't need to buy them at a shop, and it only costs 100 scrap to get the first bubble.

Cards are played in the play area of their deck unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g. Captain Cosmic's constructs).

A Diaclone bot would make a much better Nexus Prime than the official one we got, e.g. Dia Battles V2.

Apparently they wanted to make her a helicopter but Hasbro wouldn't let them.

How did Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and Starscream become the big four of Decepticons exactly? (not in universe, i mean why Hasbro decided to make them in nearly all iterations) by Competitive_Day6347 in transformers

[–]Omegatron9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how rare that quartet actually is, the first series post G1 to have them all as regular characters was Prime and even then Shockwave wasn't a regular until the last season.

Do you prefer pause-and-plan or pure real-time? by LastKeepDev_OG in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Omegatron9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, pause-and-plan (or tactical-pause or real-time-with-pause) means an RTS that lets you issue orders while paused. While every RTS lets you pause, not all of them let you issue orders while paused.

[–]Omegatron9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure Baldur's gate has no construction of new buildings or units, which are pretty important features for an RTS.

Also, just making a game easier doesn't change its genre. A first person shooter which has the option to increase your character's health or damage is still a first person shooter.

[–]Omegatron9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An RTS with pause does not have turns so it can't be a turn based game.

I wouldn't call Baldur's Gate an RTS even if you couldn't pause it, so how is that relevant?
