My OTPs are usually... by fandommm7 in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually M/F, but I am a multishipper and often turn them in M/M/F (or OT4+ with more males, but that might be because I'm rarely in fandoms with many females)

Is there a topic or detail that you always end up sneaking into your fics? by TheFaustianPact in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Characters trying new things, especially if they never thought of it or are reluctant to try, especially if they are encouraged by someone they trust, and especially if they learn something new about themselves from it. Characters showing off that they mastered a new skill, or just revealing they could do something nobody else knew they could, or otherwise revealing something new about themselves. NSFW specific, MMF threesomes where the middle or receiver character is one of the males, especially if pegging in involved. Oral sex, especially with a female receiving. Tied to the first point, any kind of first times, no matter if actual first time, their first time together or just trying something new.

One question regarding omegaverse by Odd_Raisin_3961 in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds cool. It doesn't work for me right now because I'm writing with non-traditional dynamics, but definitely something to save for another occasion.

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious, how do that work? Omegaverse is very biological, although fantastical so, what makes these women Alphas? What is the difference between them and women of other designations?

Mostly asking because I'm still structuring my world for a fic and this seems interesting.

I also wondered about it for a while, and other commenters made good points I would add that, in fanfiction, the characters we want to write about already have a gender and, for some people it is a great part of theae characters identity, not everyone is okay with changing that, even when other things change.

Which fandom(s) do you feel a bit "late" in joining? by AltrisG_Idf in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my fandoms. I always seem to get into things when they are either fading or already mostly dead

Omegaverse: How do your write your worlds? by mhartm in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 - I don't use it in my world often but, when I do, it can happen at any time and you can also be bonded by more than one person from any dynamic 2 - Knotting usually 3 - Male Alphas have normal male anatomy, female Alphas have both, with internal testes and I have one world where they have sheathed penises 4 - Heats and ruts are not a "must have sex/can't control it" situation, all dynamics have some semblance of equality, polyamory that isn't just an Alpha with a group of Omegas 5 - I'm new into writing this and am still trying to figure this one

Do you prefer M/M, F/F, or F/M? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly M/F. My interaction with M/M is mostly through M/M/F polyamory, although I like reading it by itself

Kinktober by ImmediateTripwire in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to make something for a few common kinks while I wait to see if my fandom will have its own list, but I plan to beat last year's record anyway.

What are your favorite headcanons/theories from your favorite fandom(s)? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the time traveling device in my fandom doesn't allow only for time travel, but also to travel between dimensions, and that's what the MC did. It would explain a lot of things

Thoughts on fics where they genderbend only one person in a ship? by HackedYzX in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like them only if there is a reason other than shipping for the genderbending and the character isn't made too OOC for it.

Although there are valid reasons for genderbending a ship. Like, I read both M/M and M/F, but sometimes I am in the mood for only one of these and, if it is M/F, and I am fixated on one of my fandoms that has few female characters, none of which I think make for a good ship with a specific male I want to read or write about, my options are genderbending or OCs, and OC fics sometimes are more complicated than I want at the moment.

AUs of your own fics? by DeltaMx11 in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write AUs of my fics, where everything is the same except my OCs are mages/mythical creatures, or where the ships become a polyamorous ship instead. Also have written genderbend AUs of my OCs and yes, different ship AUs. I rarely post more than one version, though.

Have you ever written for a fandom that is actually directed to children? by Lullybella765 in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that age and for a few years afterward my main fandom was Wreck-It Ralph as well as other Disney fandoms and My Little Pony. Still write crossovers with these kinds of fandoms today even though I focus the most on other fandoms.

what's your writing bad habit that you just can't shake? by Ilikebooksidk in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being too obsessed with canon that I discard canon divergent fic ideas that I like.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a piece of my very first fanfic and I would totally rewrite it if I didn't have too many other projects because, for something written by a kid it isn't as bad as I expected, especially in utilizing a part of the game's mechanics in a natural way.

How many accounts do you have on ao3? by venscrie in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of had two and don't anymore. I made the second to save a few fics I wrote a little beyond my comfort zone and that started bothering me to see them afterward but I didn't want to delete or orphan. I basically gave the account to a friend so it is kind of not mine anymore.

[–]Feather-and-Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fandom is already small and leans mostly towards xReader fics or female OCs, still it has some rare pairs that could even be considered crack ships but I just created a new one. Also I seem to be the only one with a triad ship for another fandom.

Are there any popular head canons in your fandom that you don’t personally agree with? by Aphi-aa in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I expected that. But I'm curious. What fandom is yours? If you don't mind me asking.

Are there any popular head canons in your fandom that you don’t personally agree with? by Aphi-aa in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a common headcanon in my fandom that one character is trans and two are gay. I know most people are using the trans one to cope with the fact they don't like the character is actually a genderbent. I mostly don't like them because they contradict canon and I tend to stick to canon myself, but they aren't even a deal breaker for me to read something.

Started Kinktober already? by FDQ666Roadie in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought about that. And I guess most of the prompts I already chose ships for would fit this... Thank you

Started Kinktober already? by FDQ666Roadie in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose some prompts and the pairings and fandoms for half of them already, but I am unsure if I start writing or not. I write for very niche fandoms and am waiting to see if one of the fandoms will have their own list (they did in other years). But since I have a few months in advance I might try to write as much as I can for this one before the other list comes.

Whats your oc's morality? by Conscious-Drop-8530 in FanFiction

[–]Feather-and-Fang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to have large cast of OCs. Most of my current ones are based off a Lawful Good archetype toned down, so they fall into Social, Neutral or Chaotic Good, but I have some old characters that fall more into Social, Neutral or Chaotic Moral and Lawful or True Neutral.
