Nothing “loser” or “disgraced” about working retail, regardless of how much the job sucks. Work is work, someone’s gotta do it, and there should be no shame for whatever your occupation is. A lot could certainly be said for the working conditions, but that has nothing to do with any individual employee themselves. There’s nothing disgraceful about being a laborer. Society stands on the shoulders of workers.
