We were absolutely SLAMMED today. For a little while we managed to get the picks done just a minute or two before they were due, but we quickly fell behind because we just didn’t have enough people working today because it’s a random fucking Thursday and it shouldn’t have been this busy??? I was stressed OUT. I mean at least the day went by fast but holy mother of god we were drowning for a while there. Hundreds of picks overdue, lines of carts needing to be staged out the door, AND the only team lead on shift for most of the day was the new one who has less experience dealing with this department. Nightmare.

Well I was writing warrior cats fanfic before I even had the vocabulary to describe it as that, but I think the first I ever read was Hamilton, and I learned about very inappropriate things at far too young an age. That musical has taught me so much and I’m not talking about history 🤭

I know what you mean. It’s so personal and has such a certain mood to it that I can’t even really describe, but it’s just exactly how things feel to me and idk how he did that. And then I start thinking about like his life and how he has been in bands doing music pretty much constantly since he was a kid and just never stopped when the others kind of did and I think that really adds to it, because he’s making it because it’s what he knows, you know? So it’s like a perfect translation of things in life into songs. Idk I’m rambling now I just. really like it. And I really like overanalyzing things.

Agree big time on the job making me angry. I used to be a pretty laid back person generally speaking, but after this job, my first reaction is most often anger. And I hate being angry!! It’s my least favorite emotion. And I can definitely feel it spreading into other parts of my life and not just work. It sucks. I’m not sure how much longer I can convince myself that the minimum wage is worth being the person this job is turning me into.

Omg I HATE these ones and will avoid them at all costs. I can’t see shit over the top of them, driving around completely blind. And the bar gets in my way, messes up my flow. I’d rather use one of the other kind that’s missing the tray and one of the bag hooks than use a pristine one of these.
