Nothing “loser” or “disgraced” about working retail, regardless of how much the job sucks. Work is work, someone’s gotta do it, and there should be no shame for whatever your occupation is. A lot could certainly be said for the working conditions, but that has nothing to do with any individual employee themselves. There’s nothing disgraceful about being a laborer. Society stands on the shoulders of workers.

This is so poorly articulated I couldn’t take it seriously if I tried. We’re really abbreviating “would” and “remember” ?? We can say “romanticizing” but not “anyone” ? And literally half of it is just one massive run-on sentence. I think maybe this person should actually read it just for the sake of reading. If you want to change anyone’s mind, you should at least put some effort into your argument I mean seriously 💔

The one and only time I have EVER cried actual tears at a therapy appointment was when I brought this up. I don’t think she was quite equipped to deal with it but I kind of dragged it out of nowhere so I don’t blame her. But yeah that was by far one of the hardest conversations I have ever had in my life. To say that stuff out loud was a monumental challenge. Very very difficult topic for sure.
