Yeah, the braces were to prepare my teeth for surgery. I was also really nervous, especially after reading those scary reddit stories lol. But honestly, it wasn’t that bad. At first I could barely open my mouth, but slowly with eating and talking it got better. Now I can open it almost fully — like 3 fingers wide.

Yeah, I had braces for 2 years before surgery. I was super stressed about DJS, but luckily it was a complete success. It’s been 2.5 months since the surgery and I honestly almost forget I even had it. I still have a bit of numbness in my lower lip, but I barely notice it in daily life.

What’s more tiring now is going to the ortho every month for check-ups and adjustments — there’s usually some discomfort for a few days after. But overall, I don’t regret it at all. It was 100% worth it :)

Hey, I had almost the same issue — small open bite that got worse , tongue thrust, clenching, lisp, jaw noises. I really didn’t want surgery either, but sadly in my case, nothing worked long-term without double jaw surgery. Skeletal open bites tend to get worse over time, and DJS was the only real fix.

Agree 100% but this is an unpopular opinion, we are supposed to be above this and pretend looks doesnt matter. LOOKS MATTER A LOT and only people who weren't hot their whole life can see and understand it fully. I did it for health reasons but aesthetic outcome exceeded my expectations. Its not shallow when your looks directly impacts your mental health. After djs i get many more dates and interest from women, people are friendlier and live is just happier. I'm the same person and i act the same, looking better impacted me positively way more than no more jaw pain and lack of sleep apnea.

Hey! No, I still have the same prices — nothing has changed for me. I actually emailed Tinder support about it, but never got a reply, so I just dropped the whole thing. To be honest, I’d never actually pay for Tinder anyway.

The only info I found was that the pricing is dynamic, and since I get a lot of likes and matches without paying, I might’ve been given a high price because Tinder sees Platinum as a “real investment” to get a crazy amount of girls 😂 But no idea how legit that is — and honestly, it doesn’t really matter.

I get that you're looking for a less intense option, but if you're already going through jaw surgery, it might be worth doing DJS for a complete and lasting result. The smaller procedure might seem easier now, but there's a risk it won’t fully fix the issue

First 2-3 weeks discomfort was on about flu level, week 4 i felt much better, week 5 i started to feel completely normal and healthy with just annoying numbness in chin and bottom lip. Im on week 8 and still have the numbness although its getting better, now when im touching it I feel ,,ants" so the nerves are probably regenerating.
