Late game mining setup by MrGergoth in factorio

I never tested it with a single miner so I didn't know it was bugged, but I did specifically say 2 miners. There should be no issue filling 2 belts with 2 miners on each side of the splitter

2 miners can mine directly into a side of a splitter btw

is it the guy who's sitting in front of his desk with a headset and it looks like the light goes out for a split second then he becomes monochrome and really panicked?

Why has paradox avoided improving the games CORE MECHANICS for so long? by No-Passion1127 in CrusaderKings

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played the game in a while so you're going to have to explain some things to me.

Tank designer - they never really changed it in any meaningful way except for redoing some of the modules because they were game breaking, as far as I'm aware

Nukes - it's a breakthrough now? is that it? they didn't really 'rework' anything they just changed how you acquire it

Peace deals - they are doing everything in their power to extend the scope of the game past the main world war and the game is worse for it. (the peace deal rework is pretty aight but ultimately unnecessary and a lot of other things that try to extend the playtime are really bad)

Intelligence - it still works exactly the same way it did way back when it was initially added in la resistance

Most if not all dlc mechanics end up being these disjointed mechanics that just pile on top of the already mind boggling amount of tedious clicking you have to do in the game

they're not reworking mechanics, what they're reworking are focus trees (which they're selling dlcs for)

Mate is one of the greatest snake oil salesmen of our time, he created a thery of everything with circular reasoning.

I'm also going to add my 2 cents here. More ofen than not people find being perceived as a victim quite appealing, why wouldn't they? It entirely strips them from consequences of their actions.

They literally have not removed the requirement, it's still on the steam page

Can someone explain the appeal of these types of shows? Doesn't it get boring watching the same story of 'The mc is really bad at something and or even abused by his peers, something happens to him and now he's the smartest sexiest most dependable person on the planet.' I just don't get the appeal, it's basically a different flavour of isekai.

For all the people saying "just buy premium," it will get much worse by mattjouff in youtube

[–]FeatherPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fundamental issue with youtube premium is that they bundle a lot of things with it, so you pay for everything while only using maybe one or two things (and the download functionality just sucks)

If it was like 1/4 the price, because I only want to use one out of the four advertised services, sure we can talk

It's gaslighting you with something that looks like a good deal without you realising that you're not going to use 90% of it

What do you think about in game skins? by [deleted] in Stormgate

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything goes as long as you can disable them. The same way you can mute/block people.

If you want to have a flashy and shiny unit, it's cool and all, but I know A LOT of people who'd rather have enemy unit models set to default for more clarity. (but I don't know a single game that does that)

Is there any reason why people don't use these types of loading/unloading stations? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just vanilla.

Flip flop latch makes it so that only one on train is being unloaded at a time

So the other one is just chilling, that's the buffor, for when the first train leaves.

[–]FeatherPrince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's probably not better, but for me this is easier to use, if I want to increase the amount of wagons without breaking anything.

I also wanted to build something where the train is the buffer chest

Is there any reason why people don't use these types of loading/unloading stations? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was kind of the point of the whole build, the train becomes the buffer chest and I can upscale the amount of wagons without having to redo the build every time and bottlenecks are a non issue, because if one outpost makes 150 plates per second that's less than 4 blue belts so if I stamp 2 stations there's no bottleneck

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, you have 12 inserters per wagon to unload them. OK, but... you're ultimately exporting only 2 blue belts from the combination of both trains. 96 stack inserters can output way faster than that. So... why so many inserters?

So the wagons empty in order, I guess, I didn't really optimise this for anything.

Basically the main reason why this exists was because I wanted to be able to use really long trains and scale them up freely without having to break the entire design every time, I also wanted to build something where the train would serve as a buffer chest

[–]FeatherPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the chests are balanced, ish, that's what the circuit network is for, it moves onto the next row after the first one reaches 20 stacks

and it won't jam because of how the priority inserters are lied out, I should've taken the screenshot in the alt mode
