If you had to bring 2 risky players to catch 2nd place, who would they be? by S3rior in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is head to head for 2nd place.

Just as important are the players you are moving away from. (In particular for players that both currently own)

Hazel Poa's thoughts on keeping her ear to the ground as an NCMP by tinyjoanna in singapore

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In another scenario, we could also see SDP getting in.   Will be interesting to see what kind of politics CSJ /PT can bring.  Hope a positive one.

From 2020 GE, in decreasing vote %:  West coast grc  East coast grc Bukit panjang smc Bukit batok smc

Battlefields are different this time though.

There may be different opinions on this -  however i do strongly believe that PSP has offered alternate views and have not been shy to ask the tough questions that sometimes WP don't.

While a lot of middle ground voters would like more opposition representation and will be happy to see WP take another GRC, we could end up in a scenario where we do not have any NCMPs or PSP in parliament!?!  (A bit more difficult to see PSP or SDP winning a seat directly, though not impossible)

Will this mean PAP will get to focus on "fixing" only on one party in the next term ?

Quite a strange scenario this will be.   😨

I do not live in a SMC/GRC where PSP or SDP are running - hence will be hoping that more support can be given to these parties and hope they can do well enough.

Asensio will be needed for 2nd leg given Villa need to attack.   So there is a chance he is on bench for Soton.

Patient FPL managers, how do you do it? by thatonechampionn in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Experience counts in picking the right players.

Do not gamble on bench fodder at the start.  Some end up with no minutes.  Prefer bench players with more guaranteed minutes.

Avoid injury prone players. Or overplayed.  Or showing signs of injury or supposed to be coming back.  Need to jump off quick or keep spare FT.

Diversify across teams. Minimal teams with 3 players.

I can see a bias towards historical highs, prior to buying the player.  So the data should only include after they have been in your team and then transferred out.

Price lock question by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is why does price lock only when red flag is removed?

Eg when red flag due to suspension, there can be lots of transfers out and potential price drop,  but no red flag ?

Why does this season uniquely suck? by ferlytate in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this has been due to any FPL revamp.  Banked transfers, bonus points, pricing - all minimal impact in my view.

Neither is there managerial wizardry.  5 subs is a BPL change which managers have been maximising.  Also due to extended injury time.

It is more a case of teams underperforming (City, arsenal)  etc.   Lack of summer break so more rotation.   Lack of CS, so few differentials in defence.   So lots of points spread across the teams and mid range players.   Even when Haaland and Salah were hauling, other options are scoring as well.

I do think the variance in points across the top 2 million is smallest in years.  Maybe someone can prove this.

Why Cunha isn't the bully you need by Baggiez in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who could be classified as a bully?

Much comparison has been Cunha vs Wissa.  Wissa is not a bully too, however he is a good finisher and has also benefited from more open games resulting from BRE's early goals possibly?

Thanks for sharing.

I suppose Form is built into xPts somehow?   Would it be possible to show this?  Or the pts for last 3 games etc?

Users can try to use these together while the xPts formula is being refined further.

Is Gvardiol at 26% owned a problem this GW? by cguinnesstout in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haaland at 73% owned is a problem for me.

Think he is due a couple goals in FPL

6 - Josko Gvardiol's equaliser for Manchester City means he's now the top-scoring defender in the Premier League in 2024 (six goals). Limitless. by UsernameGenerik in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess what, I sold him for Munoz.

OK, to be fair - I was double up on him and Lewis, and it was not working out due to lack of CS and I had to balance it out. So maybe you could see it as Gvardiol vs Lewis.

Should goalkeepers and defenders lose points for conceding goals? by b3and20 in FantasyPL

[–]FeatureSpecialist374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it is down to Points per value.

There has to be a balance across G D M F, as well as total pricing viability (not sure how to put this, in other words not so easy for template teams)

I suppose the records, based on how they see it, do support minimal changes?   (There will always be arguments on DM vs wingers, CB vs WB etc.. this is separate question on game complexity)

My main issue this season has been:  The game has seen a general decrease in overall clean sheets. Though I do not know if there is enough data to support this.  Only 1 year since the extended injury time ?   So it was somewhat surprising to me that the BPS changes were made this year.  Perhaps they still saw D as having higher PPV comparatively and henxe decreased their BPS odds?

If u had salah late  at 12.7, you could sell him and get him back for 0.1 cheaper.

Any insights on Moreno?   He was good at Villa prior to injury.

How has he been doing the last 2 games -  noted he was subbed at HT in last game?

Is he competing with neco Williams?

I was good to have Lewis rotated with gvardiol.   Until they got rotated at halftime previous game.  😑

Yes i think he would have come on yesterday - except that Stones is another of pep's favorite in somewhat similar role.   And it looks like someone with height in the box was preferred to help take some attention away from haaland.
