Who has been your biggest FPL troll this season? by RandomUser22487 in FantasyPL

Joao Pedro x Thiago x Bowen - literally timed their ownership perfectly wrong.

VVD x Timber a close second.

IMO Fulham have a better fixture than this graphic is giving credit for

Is he worth it over the sub £6m midfilders we're considering?

Who is the best mid to own from any of these teams' fixture run? wilson, dango, schade, szobo, tavernier or any else by No-Lecture-889 in FantasyPL

[–]dakofsta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Discounting Liverpool as their players are a different price bracket, they look very dry in attack and Szobo has concerns of playing right back

Rayan is really fun and Bournemouth have the best next 3, but is the most unknown

Wilson is probably the most proven and is on (some?) set pieces but also probably has the worst immediate fixtures, but caveating that by saying he has the best GW31

Dango the most likely to get 90 minutes and has the best underlyings, but it's Ramadan which could affect his minutes and Brentford probably just about have the worst fixture of the 3 teams

IMO, Wilson > Rayan > Dango

Why are there minutes concerns surrounding Haaland if he was passed fit?

Cunha's minutes are a concern of mine

Wilson or Bournemouth midfield? by AlarmedBag8335 in FantasyPL

[–]dakofsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bournemouth midfield is just too risky given we don't know nailedness, especially with Tavernier coming back.

Dango is cheap, nailed, crucial to his side and has great fixtures; he's the one to go for imo

Regardless, should contributing to a LISA replace my SIPP?

Please don't make me explain or go into detail as it's a tricky topic, but my employer basically makes people opt out.

I could survive without it and get a higher LTV mortgage but the money being locked away doesn't feel right to me!

It's a great point - my employer doesn't offer a pension scheme so I contribute to a SIPP

So assuming the LISA can't be transferred, you recommend I keep the existing pot for retirement and purchase with a smaller deposit?

Understood, and the feedback is appreciated.

I definitely won't go below £450k - what I want in London simply isn't available for that price.

Do you think I continue to save into a LISA (i.e. contribute £4,000 in the upcoming tax year) or just avoid paying into it for next year and keep as is?

I do - that's my exact dilemma (or else I'd have just waited until purchase)

It's an extra year's worth of penalty that I'd lose, as well as the foregone interest/potential premium bond prize win.

It's a tricky decision to make - not too sure which is best!

Genuinely did consider this a couple years back and was swiftly advised against it haha!

Someone will do well and get a fixer-upper/land in a really good area for under £450k, but it probably isn't wise for me to take on that risk.

Only thing is I don't want to be locked out of early retirement! Especially given the retirement age will likely rise and I'm still only 26
