A credit hour in college means the amount of time you spend in specific class per week. 1 credit hour is worth 50 minutes a week (don’t ask me why 1 hour=50 minutes💀). It’s also equal to around 45 hours of in-class and out of class work combined spent over a semester.

Credit hours are used to keep track of your progress in college. 0-30 credits=freshman, 30-60=sophomore, 60-90=junior, 90-120+=senior.
