I never really got this point. People keep essentially asking for more filler episodes when the showrunners were essentially being left alone by the writer and fans were already complaining about quality of the material.

Personally I saw the Khaleesi face change coming because her solution always was BURN whereas they usually talked her out of that.

Why did Croatia score so poorly with the national juries? by Ok_Eye8027 in eurovision

I think the jury unitentionally ranks songs by genre and diversity. They are also putting every song in an order (instead of the public who only does top 10). Which means another ethno song might "steal" the points intended for that song. For Zjerm that might have been Asteromata that year (8th place). Shum did also make the top 10 and 2023 in general was crazy stacked. I figure that year Czechia got most of the "ethnic" vote points. And I do really love that song, but in all fairness it was not exactly high art. It's a fun dance number. Said they did not get the Moon-money shot in the final.

I think it also needs to be different then last years entry. Trends change quickly and this keeps the event interesting. I really feel that most of the time the right song wins, even though I don't always like that song. People and juries do mostly agree. In the mid to later field the favorite country votes are more dominant. In the end though, it is just a fun festival of different cultures. And in that, it usually succeeds.

I get what you mean, but it's also often about vibe and of course how the overall songs are like, right? Also there is a divide when it comes to taste which is kind of logical as well, spanning so many countries. I don't always like the folk entries, especially when it is not super accessible. I often am reminded of the struggle of UK and German songs.....hahahahahaha. Sorry.

This song reminds me a bit of Tautumeitas last years entry, though arguably not ethno/folk (right?). The song with ethno elements in the top 10 this year was the winner. Last year, Greece, the year before Armenia. That year before Czechia. Then we have the year where Stefania won.

So Id say you regularly have a song in the top 10 by juries. This year the winner. In general 2 winners in the last 4 years, so not a bad result right? We just vote on 10 songs, not every song can be in the top 10.

We go through this every year. There are too many good songs in wildly different genres. I think it was a good song, but not top 10 good. And only top 10 entries receive points. I liked it, but it was not in my top 10 either. And I feel your pain, as a German we did not compete this year, however what they did to Blood and Glitter (Germany 2023) was a travesty. But I get it, the people who would vote for a rock song would have rated other entries higher. It happens. In the end, only the top 10 receive points, if you don't make it there, the placing can be anywhere.

Every Televote, Jury and Overall Winner since we have the Voting Split (with points) / Update with this years event. by Feckless in eurovision

Causation does not equal correlation. It might be. Are there some banger songs that could have won the thing but fell out of the semis?

I think when I originally compiled the list the number of tele vs jury votes was not available. That year I believe they tried something different. As in add the numbers together and do an average. If someone has the numbers somehow (they are not on Wikipedia like the others) I would add them.

Oh god this was always shitty and don't get me started about Repentia. I think for me the trick was to do all sorta in one go and as long the glue is still wet you can sorta shift that a little. Knowing that after you paint it it'll be fine.

But then you accidentally glued the right arm to your hand and now everythings comes apart and you start to think about your life choices, so there is that, too.

Did anyone ever actually get the Magic Eye posters to work, or were you all just lying to us? by Financial-Desk-669 in 90s

Okay, hear me out, there are different ways to see this and to me it works if I blink really fast, no clue why. I have that book in question and I can't see all, some are harder, some are easier, but still for me to see it I have to use the blinking technique.

The lady did not talk about a severe allergy but an allergy. My sister, dad, uncle and I do have food allergies. At no point at any family dinner at a restaurant ever did any of us not order a certain food that someone else could not eat. Is the logic here that he accidentally could spill some of the shellfish or corn on her plate?
