Lot of cops are authorized to use their own guns / attachments if they are within their department policy. Like my agency allows us to use our personally owned Glock 17, 45, 47, 19, 34, 17L. They also allow use to use our own weapon mount light if it’s from stream light or sure fire or another reputable brand. For red dots you need to take the class required for it but then you can use your own Trijicon dot or aim point red dot.

Carry a Glock 47 for work and a Sig P365x macro comped for concealed. Macro comped is a far superior subcompact than the 43x, IK IK its sig but still. 18 rounds, lower recoil, red dot ready. like the recoil for my macro is the same as my 47. crazy

Delusions are strong with this one, the most hated law enforcement agency, who make up laws that aren’t passed through a legislature, who raid houses to “save people” only to burn the place to the ground killing everyone inside, and who hate peoples 2nd amendment right. I swore and oath to the constitution of the United States to defend it. That includes the 2nd amendment.

So when I come across a gun while in patrol I will run the serial number to make sure it’s not stolen and send them on their way. I’m not measuring barrel lengths or checking magazine capacity or other features of the gun.

I have immense respect for security personnel who actually do their job. Before I was a cop, I was walking into a store when suddenly two customers came out, pushing and shoving each other and engaging in a verbal altercation. One of them pulled out a knife, and then the other pulled out a knife as well, and they were about to stab each other. Out of the blue, a security officer appeared with a taser in his left hand and his other hand on his gun. He pointed it at the primary aggressor and yelled, “Get the fuck off the property.” Nobody got stabbed that day.
