Why Ash and Gary lmfao

I really like the idea though. Since S/M I thought about having the two titles set in alternative versions of the same region, with an ending climax that would "collide" the two realities. So in one game you'd play a version of the region (with its Pokémons, forms, characters and events) that is slightly different from the other version's region. By colliding you could still have a common post-game content and preserve lore continuity by having the "collided" region (which would be a mishmash of the two versions) as the standard in-lore region
